## Job Summary The Microsoft SQL Server Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server systems. This role ensures the performance, security, and reliability of database systems, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

## Responsibilities - Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and related databases. - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operations. - Implement security measures to safeguard the SQL Server environment against unauthorized access and breaches. - Conduct regular backups and restore procedures to prevent data loss. - Develop and document standard operating procedures for database management tasks. - Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and improve application performance.

## Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and management. - Strong understanding of T-SQL programming and performance tuning. - Knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques. - Familiarity with SQL Server high availability solutions (e.g., Always On, clustering). - Experience with database security protocols and practices. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues effectively. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.

## Preferred Skills - Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). - Knowledge of cloud database management and administration, particularly in Azure. - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.

## Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration or a related field.
