Job Description

The Role

The Head of Business Applications (GBA) role joins our Global Business Systems Team supporting applications across our portfolio, including but not limited to MS Dynamics 365 F&O, Workday (being implemented in phases from early 2026) and MS Office Applications in relation to the Modern Workplace. Users are supported across our global offices, with core Finance users based in Cape Town.

The role is pivotal to the remaining phases of the MS Dynamics 365 F&O Project being deployed, as well as further "run and maintain" support mode in the coming 12+ months, with less reliance on external support partners. The role works and partners with our external support partners to further develop and maintain systems and processes, including delivery enhancements. It explores the ongoing product enhancements that are delivered as part of both MS Dynamics and Workday, and reviews AI opportunities and how they can be used to streamline recurring and repetitive tasks, as well as utilising them as part of the support offering to end users. The role drives further expansion of MSD across the globe to countries not in the original phases of the project, and manages user support and training, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the integrity of systems including, but not limited to, MS Dynamics, Kofax OCR, Zoho, Cascade, (Workday in the future), Docentric, Access Dimensions and Banking / Treasury systems.

  • Own the procedures to support an effective control environment for GBA systems.
  • Support or lead various projects, BAU enhancements and initiatives from a GBA perspective.
  • Provide a professional and approachable point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Support and, where required, lead in audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure SLAs are tracked and met across Finance Applications and thereafter Workday.
  • Liaise with Group Finance and act as key finance partner for system support.
  • Oversee the development of new applications, as well as manage technical support to users.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
