The Sales Representative is responsible for delivering Volume and Profit Growth through effective execution of a sales strategy in a geographical territory or with an assigned customer base.  The sales representative will work to attract and retain business through a deep understanding of Colonial Chemical’s products and our customer’s needs. The successful employee will be able to identify and develop sales opportunities that best meet these needs.       JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

Evaluate business needs and build productive, consultative sales relationships with customers. Review status of existing accounts and research sales leads by understanding the potential customer base. Maintain a clear and updated view of your sales pipeline. Responsible for negotiating customer pricing, as well as maintaining and coordinating customer quotations in ERP system. Responsibilities for Individual and Sales Team orders. Forecast sales volumes and customer requirements by analyzing sales data and market trends. Identify developing markets to help maintain competitive edge. Other assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager in a chemical or commodities industry. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Dynamics (CRM) and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to successfully drive the sales process from start to close. Expert relationship builder both externally and internally. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and customer relationship development. Ability to manage time and resources effectively in order to achieve goals. Finely tuned listening skills and a proven ability to solve problems giving ability to close a sale. Ability to present company, recognize customer needs and negotiate appropriate value for products and services offered by Colonial.
