Senior Bookkeeper

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeping Specialist with recent public accounting experience

to support bookkeeping needs across multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable

managing different clients, adapting to varying bookkeeping requirements, and working in a public

accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities for multiple clients with different needs.

Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and account balances.

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and other routine bookkeeping

functions.

Review transactions and financial records for accuracy and completeness.

Adapt bookkeeping processes based on each client's specific requirements.

Communicate with internal team members and clients as needed to resolve discrepancies or

obtain information.

Support month-end close and other accounting-related processes.

Maintain organized and accurate documentation across multiple client accounts.

Required Qualifications

At least 5 years of recent experience working in public accounting.

Proven experience providing bookkeeping/accounting services for multiple clients, rather than

working exclusively for a single company.

Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals and accounting principles.

Experience working with clients that have different bookkeeping processes, structures, and

requirements.

Ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.

Comfortable working independently while collaborating with an accounting team.

Important Fit Criteria

The ideal candidate has spent the last several years in a public accounting firm, CPA firm, or similar

client-service accounting environment, where they regularly handled bookkeeping for multiple

businesses.

Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to bookkeeping for one company will not be the

right fit for this position.
