The posting

If you are already successful in Electronic Security sales but want more influence over how you develop your market, this role gives you the opportunity to do exactly that. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Security Technician or Project Manager with strong sales acumen who is motivated to transition into a sales career.

You will take a leading role in growing an established Electronic Security business in Darwin, developing new business while continuing to build relationships and opportunities with existing customers across defence, government and commercial sectors. You will have greater involvement across the sales process, with the autonomy to understand your market, shape solutions and progress opportunities.

What will your role involve?

  • Identifying and developing new Electronic Security business opportunities across Darwin, with scope to develop the wider Northern Territory market.
  • Building relationships with prospective and existing customers to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Understanding customer requirements and recommending solutions across CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, monitoring and connected services.
  • Meeting with customers, undertaking site visits and discussing their current and future security requirements.
  • Involvement in estimates, proposals and tenders as opportunities progress.
  • Working with technical, estimating and operational teams when specialist input is required.
  • Managing your pipeline, forecasts and customer information within the CRM.
  • Building your professional network and representing the business within the local market.
  • Keeping up to date with Electronic Security technology, relevant standards and industry developments.

About you

You may already be an experienced Electronic Security sales professional who knows how to open doors, ask the right questions and build credibility with customers. Alternatively, you may come from a Security Technician, Project Manager or similar technical background, with strong sales acumen and the motivation to transition into sales.

You will bring:

  • Australian Citizenship is essential to obtain a NV1 Security Clearance, which is required to work with defence customers.
  • Proven business development or technical sales experience within Electronic Security, or relevant technical or project experience combined with strong sales acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Security systems and solutions.
  • Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence engaging with customers and understanding both their operational and commercial requirements.
  • The ability to identify opportunities and develop strong customer relationships.
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities independently.
  • Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.

What can you expect?

  • Broader exposure: See opportunities through from the initial conversation to solution and handover.
  • A broad security offering: Work across CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, monitoring and connected security solutions.
  • Autonomy: Manage your market and opportunities with the freedom to make decisions and keep things moving.
  • Reward for performance: Competitive salary package, performance incentives and a fully maintained vehicle or car allowance.
  • Long-term opportunity: Develop your career within an established organisation while helping grow its Electronic Security presence in Darwin.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
