Join our Medical Kit Department (Loans Team) as a Senior Medical Kit Associate and help ensure hospitals and surgeons across the UK have the implants and instrument sets they need to perform life-changing orthopaedic procedures. You'll lead and develop a small team responsible for coordinating medical kits that are loaned to hospitals and surgeons for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring they are available at the right place and time to support patient care. In this fast-paced operational role, you'll oversee the preparation, dispatch, return and replenishment of loan kits throughout the loan cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage. You'll manage systems processing, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep customers informed. You'll champion continuous improvement and uphold high standards of workplace organisation, safety and efficiency.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 As a Senior Medical Kit Associate you will be;
Coordinating the movement of instrument kits using Webops and Sage.
Managing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure excellent customer service.
Prioritising urgent same-day requests and making informed decisions to meet customer needs.
Supporting, coaching and developing the team.
Acting as the first point of contact for team escalations and problem-solving.
Maintaining strong relationships across departments and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and quality standards are followed and kept up to date.
The ideal Senior Medical Kit Associate will have/be:
Experience in orthopaedics, medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is advantageous, but not essential. Demonstrable experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment in a senior or supervisory capacity. Experience of mentoring, training and supporting others. Communicates clearly and works confidently under pressure. Confident with Excel and internal systems. Keeps calm, organised and is solutions‑focused in a busy environment. Is confident making quick decisions under pressure and know when to escalate. Excellent knowledge and practise of good manual handling practices.
Please note, a Hepatitis B vaccination is mandatory for this position, and our Occupational Health team will provide this for you.
