The posting
HALL Arts Hotel is hiring for a Director of Restaurants. You should join our team if you believe... • That exceptional food, flawless service, and genuine hospitality are critical to every great dining experience. • That the restaurant team is one of the most important drivers of a hotel's energy, culture, and guest loyalty. • That details matter, from a perfectly timed course and a spotless tabletop to the thoughtful ambiance that makes guests feel welcome. • That great leaders inspire by example, foster collaboration, and cultivate deep pride in culinary and service craftsmanship. • That strong communication between the culinary team, service staff, stewarding, and hotel leadership keeps operations running smoothly. • That every meal tells a story, and the restaurant team helps make sure it unfolds beautifully. You’re a great fit for this role if you love... • Leading, coaching, and supporting Restaurant Managers, Supervisors, and Service Curators throughout the day. • Overseeing daily operations across multiple dining outlets to ensure service excellence, efficiency, and brand standards are met. • Designing and executing exceptional guest experiences, from daily dining to curated activations and special events. • Training, mentoring, and developing your team on proper hospitality techniques, menu knowledge, safety standards, and guest service expectations. • Jumping in to assist the team when needed, whether that means supporting the floor during a busy rush, connecting with guests, or solving the tiny tornadoes that come with a high-volume service day. • Partnering closely with the culinary team and Executive Chef to seamlessly align menu execution, guest preferences, and kitchen timing. • Managing financial performance, labor productivity, inventory control, and supply ordering clearly and quickly. • Creating a positive, inclusive team environment where Curators feel supported, respected, and set up for success. • Taking pride in the behind-the-scenes details that guests may not always see, but always feel. We’re excited to have you join us because... • You understand that Restaurant Operations are both operationally essential and deeply personal to the guest experience. • You know how to balance speed, quality, safety, and hospitality in a fast-paced dining environment. • You can provide clear direction while staying approachable, helpful, and calm under pressure. • You have a strong eye for detail and can spot what needs attention before a guest does. • You are comfortable coaching team members in the moment and celebrating great work along the way. • You can collaborate across departments to support service readiness, guest satisfaction, and overall hotel operations. • You bring dependability, organization, and a service-first mindset to every shift. Education and Experience • Previous restaurant management experience required. • Previous multi-outlet or director-level leadership experience preferred. • Hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, steps of service, safety regulations, and compliance procedures. • Ability to inspect dining rooms, bars, and back-of-house spaces with strong attention to detail. • Ability to communicate clearly with team members, culinary leaders, and other hotel departments. • Strong organizational, financial-management, and time-management skills. • Ability to train, coach, motivate, and support team members. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. • Wine, spirit, or food safety certifications (such as ServSafe or Sommelier credentials) preferred, but not required. Work Environment and Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the shift across dining rooms, kitchens, and back-of-house spaces. • Ability to work in restaurant dining areas, bars, lounges, kitchens, storage spaces, and service corridors. • Ability to lift, carry, or move items such as trays, dishes, glassware, supply boxes, and restaurant furniture. • Ability to handle food, beverages, and service equipment safely and according to health and safety procedures. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dining environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
