Job Description

Cozen O’Connor is looking for a Senior Workflow Developer to build the technology that keeps Cozen O'Connor running. About 75% of your time will be spent as the hands-on technical lead for our ServiceNow platform, turning business ideas into custom scoped applications, polished Service Portal experiences, and ITSM and workflow automation that people across the firm use every day. The rest of your time will be spent on the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft .NET solutions.

This role is for someone who wants to work across our technical platforms and across the full spectrum of no-code, low-code, and pro-code development. You'll pick the right tool for each problem, whether that's a ServiceNow flow, a Power App, or a custom .NET service, and make them work together.

You'll work side by side with business users to uncover what they really need, translate it into technical requirements, and give honest estimates, then take each solution from first conversation through build, release, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workflow development: Serve as the technical authority for ServiceNow, setting development standards, reviewing code, mentoring teammates, and guiding the platform roadmap, upgrades, and technical debt reduction.
  • Build custom scoped applications and workflows: Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using App Engine, Flow Designer, and Workflow Studio, including service catalogs, intake forms, record producers, case management, multi-level approvals, escalations, and notifications.
  • Gather requirements and estimate work: Meet with business users to understand needs, translate them into technical requirements and designs, run demos and user acceptance testing, and provide clear estimates and timelines.
  • Develop Service Portal experiences: Build and customize portal pages, widgets, and themes using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and AngularJS, with a focus on usability and accessibility.
  • Support ITSM: Configure and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and CMDB processes, along with reporting and dashboards.
  • Integrate systems: Build and troubleshoot integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, Integration Hub, import sets, and transform maps, and support data and reporting needs.
  • Administer and secure the platform: Manage roles, ACLs, and application security; support audit and compliance reviews; and follow enterprise governance standards.
  • Deploy and support: Manage releases across instances with implementation and rollback plans, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Build across platforms (about 25% of the role): Develop solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and in Microsoft .NET / C#, choosing appropriate approaches based on the business need.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including prior lead or senior developer responsibility.
  • Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Proven experience building custom scoped applications and workflows on App Engine.
  • Strong Service Portal experience (widgets, client and server scripting).
  • Solid ITSM experience and an understanding of ITIL.
  • Advanced JavaScript skills, including GlideRecord, Script Includes, and Business Rules.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Willingness to work across ServiceNow, Power Platform, and .NET, and across no-code, low-code, and pro-code development.
  • Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and producing reliable estimates.
  • Familiarity with source control, Agile practices, and release management.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
  • Experience with AngularJS.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and location.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
