The posting

LOCATION: Piqua, Ohio

BUSINESS UNIT: Crane Pumps & Systems

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

SEGMENT: Process Flow Technologies

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

BASIC FUNCTION:

The HR Intern will be an active part of our team and will gain exposure to a variety of human resources practices on an everyday basis. This is a Full-time, paid internship. The hours for this position are flexible within our normal operating hours of M-F 8:00am -5:00pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• New hire orientation & onboarding process preparation

• Employee Newsletter planning, editing, layout, publishing & distribution

• Assists employees with questions and greets visitors

• Supports and participates in various HR-related events and projects

• Responsible for Attendance Tracking

• Process employment verifications

• Administers Visitor Badge process and badge access control

• Schedules and tracks business-unit required trainings, communications, lunch and learns etc.

• Assists with Employee Service Award Recognition Program

• Completes HR filing and document retention

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Must currently be enrolled in an Associates or Bachelors level program related to Human Resources

• 3.0 GPA or higher desired.

• Comfortable in a fast paced environment and handling multiple priorities at once

• Must be able to handle sensitive/ confidential information in a professional manner

• Ability to address situations with good judgment and integrity

• Excellent task management, prioritization, and organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build strong business relationships

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

• Ability to work at least 28 hours/week for Spring semester and 40 hours/week for Summer semester
