Position Overview:

Crazy Maple Studio is looking for a hands-on IT Manager to own our IT across the North American region. You will manage the company's software, platforms and devices, keep our systems and assets secure, and work with Finance to keep tool spend under control. You will work closely with our China-based IT team on global IT policies; fluency in both English and Mandarin is required for this role. The scope is wide: you set the strategy and also do the hands-on work.

Responsibilities:

  • Software management: Own company software and platforms, including Google Workspace, collaboration and enterprise AI tools, and the cloud and developer platforms used by technical teams. Cover admin consoles, user provisioning, role-based permissions and regular access reviews.
  • Network security monitoring & improvement: Monitor the company network and endpoints for threats, respond to incidents, and keep improving our security posture through firewall and Wi-Fi security, identity and SSO/MFA, endpoint protection, email security and data protection.
  • Fraud & asset protection: Evaluate and roll out anti-fraud and anti-phishing measures that protectcompany accounts, funds and assets. Train employees on security awareness.
  • Device management: Manage Mac and Windows devices for onsite and remote employees through Jamf and related tools: procurement, enrollment, configuration, patching, inventory, shipping and recovery.
  • Office IT environment:
  • Sunnyvale (onsite): Keep the office running: network, Wi-Fi, printers, conference room AV. Do basic troubleshooting and repairs, and coordinate vendors when needed.
  • Culver City (remote): Remotely support the Culver City office and its employees: diagnose network and device issues, guide on-site staff through fixes, and coordinate local vendors
  • Onboarding & offboarding: Partner with HR to run onboarding and offboarding for every team:
  • Define access bundles by team and role so each team gets exactly the tools it needs, nothingmore.
  • Have accounts, devices and permissions ready on Day 1.
  • Remove access the same day someone leaves, recover devices, and transfer data and accounts.
  • Cost & usage management: Partner with Finance to track license and seat usage, cut unused seats, support renewals and vendor management, and report on IT spend.
  • Global IT alignment: Work with the China IT team on global IT policies and standards, such as cross-border tool usage, data compliance and unified security baselines.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of hands-on IT experience, ideally including time as the main IT owner or lead at a startup or small/mid-size company
  • Cybersecurity knowledge: network security monitoring, firewalls, endpoint protection, phishing defense, SSO/MFA and incident response
  • Hands-on Jamf experience managing a Mac fleet (enrollment, configuration profiles, patching, app deployment)
  • Hands-on Google Workspace administration: users, groups, OUs, security settings, data transfer
  • Working knowledge of office networking (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN) and comfort with hands-on fixes
  • Experience supporting remote employees or a satellite office
  • Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Able to work onsite in Sunnyvale 5 days a weekNice to Have
  • Experience with Rippling IT modules (device management, app management, identity)
  • Lark/Feishu or similar collaboration platform administration
  • Admin experience with enterprise AI tools: seat management, usage policies, data controls
  • Cloud and developer platform access management (e.g., IAM roles, organization permissions)
  • Experience managing SaaS licenses and vendor costs with Finance
  • Familiarity with China's IT environment (cross-border networking, PIPL/data compliance)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, Jamf Certified Tech/Admin, or Google Workspace Administrator

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
