The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who is comfortable working with schematics, PCB layouts, test equipment, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional partners to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Modify electrical schematics and PCB layouts to support alternate component selection, cost reduction, and product improvements.
  • Evaluate and qualify alternate electronic components to address obsolescence, availability, and supply-chain constraints.
  • Perform board-level troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis of electrical and system-level issues.
  • Develop and support In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Functional Circuit Test (FCT) plans and requirements.
  • Support EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting to ensure products meet applicable regulatory requirements, including FCC and CE requirements.
  • Support new product introductions, production ramp-up, and ongoing manufacturing activities for electrical systems.
  • Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve production and component-related issues.
  • Manage and implement electrical design changes required to maintain production continuity.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, PCB documentation, BOMs, test requirements, and engineering change documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and supply-chain teams to resolve product issues.

Qualifications

*ONLY APPLICABLE TO MALAYSIAN*

Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in analog and digital circuit/PCB design.
  • Experience with board-level bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Experience with consumer electronics, particularly electro-mechanical products.
  • Experience with component qualification, alternate component selection, and engineering change processes.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing, certification, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of electrical product safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience using a structured and systematic engineering design and problem-solving process.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to solve technical and manufacturing problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify critical project requirements and drive issues through resolution.
  • Ability to apply both engineering fundamentals and practical experience to develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with electrical laboratory equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools, specifically Altium Designer.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
