About Emi

Emi is an online primary school programme for students aged 6–11, delivered by Mt Hobson Academy, a school within the Crimson Academies network, and powered by CGA. Primary students enrol with Mt Hobson Academy, while CGA provides the platform and support.

The programme provides live, teacher-led online learning through small-group and 1:1 classes, creating an engaging and personalised learning environment for younger students.

Students can study subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, World Geography and Computer Science, with learning designed to build strong academic foundations while developing confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to deliver 1:1 online lessons as part of the Emi Northern Hemisphere programme.

We currently have students requiring teachers who can offer availability particularly within:

Monday–Wednesday | 1:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m. Pacific Time

This teaching window may be particularly suitable for educators based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East or nearby time zones.

These 1:1 courses run for 28 weeks, giving teachers the opportunity to work consistently with individual students and support their academic development throughout the programme.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver engaging and interactive 1:1 online lessons to primary-aged students.
  • Adapt teaching to each student’s individual ability, pace and learning needs.
  • Create a positive, supportive and engaging virtual learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students and encourage active participation.
  • Support students in developing strong academic foundations, confidence and curiosity.
  • Provide a consistent and high-quality learning experience throughout the course.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with relevant academic and programme teams.

About You

We are looking for educators who:

  • Have experience teaching primary or elementary-aged students.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and/or recognised teacher certification.
  • Are confident working with younger learners and adapting teaching to individual needs.
  • Can deliver engaging and effective lessons in an online environment.
  • Are reliable and able to commit consistently across the course period.
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Have availability that aligns with the Northern Hemisphere teaching window.

Experience teaching English, Mathematics, Science, World Geography and/or Computer Science at primary level would be advantageous.

Why Join Emi?

Teaching with Emi provides the opportunity to work with primary-aged students from around the world in a highly personalised online environment.

Through 1:1 teaching, you can understand each student’s strengths, interests and areas for development and tailor your approach to help them progress with confidence.

If you are passionate about primary education and excited by the opportunity to deliver engaging, personalised online learning, we would love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
