The posting

We are currently looking for an IT Service Design & Transition Process Consultant to strengthen the Cronos Europa team. As a member of our Service Operations environment, you will coordinate service transition activities and ensure that new or significantly changed ICT services are properly assessed, planned, validated and successfully handed over into operations. You will work closely with Service Design, IT Operations, technical teams, project stakeholders and ITIL Practice Owners to ensure operational readiness and smooth service transition.

Responsabilities:

  • Coordinate Service Design and Service Transition activities from initial assessment through operational handover.
  • Review and assess Service Design Packages (SDP), including service scope, architectural design, technical and organisational dependencies, environments and release requirements.
  • Evaluate the completeness and operational feasibility of Service Design documentation and identify missing prerequisites, dependencies, ownership and acceptance conditions.
  • Define transition scope, stakeholder maps, RACI matrices and interfaces with relevant ITIL practices.
  • Prepare and maintain transition plans covering prerequisites, milestones, quality gates, risks, mitigation measures, rollback provisions and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and resources involved in transition activities and manage cross-team dependencies and escalations.
  • Monitor transition progress and ensure alignment with approved Service Design requirements and Change Management processes.
  • Coordinate operational readiness assessments and verify required deliverables before service acceptance.
  • Ensure the availability of operational and technical documentation covering areas such as architecture, installation and maintenance procedures, backup and restore, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, capacity, security and configuration management.
  • Coordinate testing and validation evidence required for operational acceptance, including performance-related validation when applicable.
  • Support formal service acceptance, service catalogue updates and handover into Operations.
  • Perform post-transition evaluations, identify outstanding risks and corrective actions, and coordinate lessons learned and transition closure.
  • Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes, workflows, operational interfaces, decision points, escalation paths and RACI matrices.
  • Ensure process documentation and improvements are aligned with ITSM practices and operational responsibilities.
  • Use ITSM tools to maintain traceability of transition activities, decisions, approvals and operational handovers.
  • Provide structured reporting, including transition status, risk logs, action registers and escalation points.

Technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Design, IT Service Transition and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices, including Change Management, Release Management, Service Validation, Configuration Management and Knowledge Management.
  • Experience assessing Service Design Packages (SDP) and identifying operational gaps, risks, dependencies and acceptance conditions.
  • Experience in transition planning, operational readiness, risk and impact assessment, service acceptance and operational handover.
  • Experience designing and documenting AS-IS / TO-BE processes, workflows, RACI matrices and escalation paths.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM tools, including workflows, RFCs, task management, CMDB, traceability and reporting.
  • Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments, including networks, virtualisation, storage, backup and restore, monitoring, security, high availability, disaster recovery and application dependencies.
  • Ability to define and monitor quality gates, acceptance criteria, readiness checklists and post-transition evaluation criteria.

Profile :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years in Service Transition, Service Delivery or IT Operations Management; around 10 years of overall IT experience with 4–5 years in a directly relevant role is preferred.
  • Proven experience transitioning enterprise infrastructure services into operational support across multiple technical teams and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex service environments, identify gaps and challenge incomplete deliverables.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and coordinate dependencies across technical, operational and management stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is strongly preferred; advanced ITIL certifications are considered an asset.
  • Experience in complex, multi-site or large enterprise environments is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is a strong asset.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
