The posting

Job Description:

The Financial Analyst supports the Finance team across treasury operations, FP&A reporting, budgeting, and accounting close activities. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Transformation, this role focuses on accurate payment processing and related general ledger activity, meaningful budget vs. actual analysis, and reliable contributions to the annual budget process and monthly close. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and comfortable working across treasury, accounting, and FP&A functions in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Cash Management Support

  • Assist with administering payments through the company’s banking platforms (ACH, wires, checks, and other payment methods).
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of payment activity in the general ledger, including proper coding, supporting documentation, and reconciliation to bank activity.
  • Support cash position monitoring, bank account reconciliations, and related treasury reporting.
  • Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders on payment inquiries, exceptions, and routine treasury tasks.

FP&A & Variance Analysis

  • Assist the FP&A team in preparing budget vs. actual reports and related management packages.
  • Perform variance analysis, identify key drivers of variances, and help prepare clear explanations and commentary.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis, forecasting inputs, and reporting requests from FP&A leadership.
  • Maintain and improve reporting templates, models, and data integrity used for ongoing analysis.

Budget Process Support

  • Assist in the annual (and any interim) budget and forecasting process, including data collection, consolidation, and model maintenance.
  • Help validate departmental submissions, track budget versions, and support communication of budget guidelines and timelines.
  • Contribute to budget-related analyses and documentation.

Month-End Close Assistance

  • Support the accounting team during the month-end close process with journal entries, reconciliations, and related close tasks.
  • Help ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned close activities and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with accounting and FP&A to resolve issues and maintain consistency between close results and reporting.
  • Maintain strong documentation and process discipline for all assigned activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, or reporting quality within the scope of the role.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, treasury, or a similar role (internship or rotational experience considered for strong candidates).
  • Solid understanding of general ledger concepts, journal entries, and basic financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems and bank portals is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a close and reporting environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote).

Preferred

  • Exposure to treasury/cash management processes or bank reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting FP&A reporting or the budget process.
  • Familiarity with variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Knowledge of basic internal controls related to payments and close activities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
