The posting

Frequentis is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to establish and grow our Mission Critical Services (MCX) business across the Nordic and Baltic region, with primary focus on Norway, Finland and Sweden. You will work with customers in public safety and critical infrastructure, developing new business in a market where mission-critical communication is evolving rapidly.

This is not a traditional sales role in an established market. We are looking for an entrepreneurial business builder who takes ownership, works independently and is willing to roll up their sleeves to help establish Frequentis' MCX business in the region. You will contribute beyond traditional sales activities, working closely with colleagues across sales, product management, solution engineering, delivery and executive leadership.

MCX is a 3GPP-defined standard for next-generation mission-critical communications, including push-to-talk, data and video services for end-users across the communication chain. The technology operates at the application layer and represents the successor technology to traditional TETRA-based communication systems.

Frequentis develops and markets its own MCX solution. In this role, you will help shape our long-term market presence by identifying new opportunities, establishing strategic customer relationships and developing a strong partner and channel ecosystem.

The role is primarily based in Oslo, Norway. We are also open to exceptional candidates based in other Nordic locations. Regular travel within the Nordic and Baltic region will be required.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Establish and grow the MCX business across the Nordic and Baltic region, with particular focus on Norway, Finland and Sweden
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets
  • Develop and manage a strong partner and channel ecosystem across the region
  • Build strategic relationships with customers, senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
  • Understand customers' commercial, operational and technology challenges and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Lead complex, project-based sales opportunities from qualification through bid and commercial negotiation to contract award
  • Navigate complex tender processes and public procurement
  • Take an active, hands-on role in market development, partner enablement, customer workshops, industry events and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with international sales, product management, solution engineering, delivery and management teams to drive business development and customer opportunities
  • Lead multidisciplinary sales and bid teams across functions, markets and cultures

To be successful in the role, we believe you have this knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience in international sales of complex technology solutions
  • Experience from the Nordic market, particularly Norway, Finland and Sweden
  • Experience with public-sector customers, particularly within Public Safety, critical infrastructure or adjacent technology markets
  • Experience in complex, project-based solution and enterprise sales, including sales management, new business development and consultative selling
  • Experience developing partner and channel ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of public-sector procurement processes and complex tender environments
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, technology or business
  • Strong technical understanding combined with commercial acumen and the ability to understand complex technologies and translate customer needs into commercially viable solutions
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, comfortable taking initiative and working independently
  • Hands-on and flexible approach, with a willingness to contribute beyond traditional sales responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and functions, particularly in small, entrepreneurial environments where success depends on teamwork, flexibility and individual contribution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Willingness to travel within the Nordic and Baltic region

Domain knowledge within Public Safety is particularly important for this role. We are looking for someone who understands the technology landscape and combines a consultative approach to sales with the entrepreneurial drive to develop a market. You thrive in an environment where individual initiative, practical contribution and close teamwork are equally important.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance up to NATO Secret level. The successful candidate must also be able to provide a police certificate and complete a background check conducted by Semac.

What we offer

You will join a global company working with technology that supports essential public services and safer societies. This role offers the opportunity to play a hands-on part in establishing Frequentis' MCX business across the Nordic region, working closely with experienced international colleagues and technical experts.

You will have the freedom to take initiative, contribute across functions and help shape the long-term development of the business. While the role carries significant individual responsibility, you will be part of a collaborative international team where market development is a shared effort.

You will work with next-generation mission-critical communication technology, developing strategic partnerships and customer relationships in a growing market. Frequentis' own MCX solution and broader portfolio of control-room and mission-critical communication solutions provide a strong technological foundation for your work.

You will receive a structured onboarding programme, including training in Frequentis' company, governance and product portfolio. We offer a competitive salary, pension and benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Frequentis is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, regardless of gender, age, cultural background or other personal characteristics.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
