Als Principal EHS Specialist (f/m/d) unterstützen Sie den Standort Bern in allen zentralen Themen des Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltmanagements.

Sie bringen fundierte EHS-Fachkompetenz, ausgeprägte Shopfloor-Nähe sowie die Fähigkeit mit, Führungskräfte, Teams und EHS-Kollegen zu coachen und in ihrer Entwicklung zu begleiten. Dabei verbinden Sie operative Präsenz mit strategischem Denken und leisten einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung unserer Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltkultur.

Diese Rolle richtet sich an erfahrene EHS-Fachpersonen, die ihre Expertise nicht nur zur Lösung von Problemen einsetzen, sondern aktiv dazu beitragen möchten, Menschen, Teams und Organisationen weiterzuentwickeln.

Hauptaufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

Coaching, Mentoring und Kulturentwicklung

  • Coach und Sparringspartner für Führungskräfte, Mitarbeitende und EHS Professionals
  • Unterstützung der fachlichen Weiterentwicklung von EHS Teammitgliedern
  • Förderung einer offenen Lern-, Feedback- und Sicherheitskultur
  • Vermittlung von Best Practices und Lessons Learned
  • Unterstützung von Führungskräften bei der Wahrnehmung ihrer EHS-Verantwortung
  • Förderung von Ownership und einer nachhaltigen Sicherheitskultur auf allen Ebenen
  • Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung der EHS Organisation am Standort

Präsenz im Betrieb und Unterstützung des Shopfloors

  • Regelmässige Präsenz in Produktion, Technik, Laboren, Logistik und Supportbereichen
  • Durchführung von Safety-, Health- und Environmental-Walks
  • Unterstützung der Tier-Meeting-Struktur (Tier 1 bis Tier 3)
  • Erkennung von Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten im täglichen Betrieb
  • Unterstützung von Teams bei der Umsetzung wirksamer Schutzmassnahmen
  • Förderung einer proaktiven Risiko- und Sicherheitswahrnehmung

Gesundheitsschutz und Occupational Health

  • Identifikation und Bewertung gesundheitsrelevanter Risiken
  • Unterstützung bei Themen wie Ergonomie, Expositionen, Lärm, Klima und psychischer Gesundheit
  • Zusammenarbeit mit Medical Services und externen Fachstellen
  • Unterstützung von Health-Monitoring-Programmen
  • Entwicklung und Umsetzung geeigneter Präventionsmassnahmen
  • Förderung gesundheitsfördernder Arbeitsplätze und Wellbeing-Initiativen

Umweltmanagement

  • Unterstützung und Weiterentwicklung von Umweltmanagementprozessen
  • Mitwirkung bei Themen wie: Abfallmanagement Emissionskontrolle Energieeffizienz Abwasser Gefahrstoffmanagement Ressourcenmanagement Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen
  • Unterstützung der ISO-14001-konformen Prozesse
  • Durchführung von Environmental Walks
  • Unterstützung von Umwelt-Audits und Behördeninspektionen

Gefahrenermittlung und Prävention

  • Systematische Identifikation von Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltrisiken
  • Durchführung von Gefährdungsbeurteilungen und Task Risk Assessments
  • Unterstützung bei der Bewertung und Priorisierung von Risiken
  • Überprüfung der Wirksamkeit bestehender Schutzmassnahmen
  • Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung nachhaltiger Präventionsmassnahmen
  • Pflege relevanter EHS-Risikoregister
  • Moderation komplexerer Risikoanalysen bei Bedarf

Incident Investigation und Continuous Improvement

  • Leitung oder Unterstützung bei Untersuchungen von EHS Incidents, pSIFs und Environmental Events
  • Anwendung strukturierter Untersuchungsmethoden wie ICAM, RCA oder TapRooT
  • Identifikation nachhaltiger Verbesserungsmassnahmen
  • Integration von Lessons Learned in Prozesse, Standards und Trainings
  • Förderung einer offenen und lernorientierten Fehlerkultur

Systems Thinking und EHS Governance

  • Betrachtung von Zusammenhängen zwischen Mensch, Technik, Organisation und Umwelt
  • Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung von EHS-Prozessen und Standards
  • Mitarbeit bei standortweiten Verbesserungsprogrammen und strategischen Initiativen
  • Entwicklung nachhaltiger Lösungen zur Ursachenbeseitigung
  • Unterstützung des EHS Operating Models und der EHS Governance

Anforderungen und Qualifikationen

Berufserfahrung

  • Mindestens 7 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Bereich Environment, Health & Safety
  • Erfahrung in regulierten Industrien wie Pharma, Biotech oder Chemie von Vorteil
  • Erfahrung in der Begleitung, Entwicklung oder fachlichen Unterstützung von Mitarbeitenden und Führungskräften
  • Erfahrung in der Umsetzung von EHS-Programmen und Verbesserungsinitiativen
  • Nachweisbare Fähigkeit, Einfluss zu nehmen und Veränderungen erfolgreich zu begleiten

Ausbildung

Höherer Ausbildungsabschluss, beispielsweise:

  • MSc / MAS Safety Engineering
  • MSc Umwelttechnik
  • MSc Verfahrenstechnik
  • MSc Life Sciences
  • Naturwissenschaftliches Studium oder vergleichbare Fachrichtung

Weiterbildungen im Bereich Occupational Health, Umweltmanagement, Coaching oder Leadership sind von Vorteil.

Fachliche Kompetenzen

  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse der ISO 45001 und ISO 14001
  • Erfahrung in der Gefahrenermittlung und Risikobewertung
  • Kenntnisse im Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltmanagement
  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit Gefahrstoffen und regulatorischen Anforderungen
  • Kenntnisse von EHS-Managementsystemen, Reporting und Risikomanagement-Tools
  • Erfahrung mit Methoden wie HAZOP, FMEA oder Bow Tie von Vorteil

Persönliche Kompetenzen

  • Ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Moderationsfähigkeiten
  • Fähigkeit, Vertrauen aufzubauen und nachhaltige Beziehungen zu entwickeln
