The posting
At CueZen, we are building the world’s best personalization engine for health, to nudge millions of people toward their health goals. We are AI researchers, front line care providers, engineers, and UX researchers from around the globe, operating at the intersection of data science, biotechnology, and software. Expect motivated, intense and interesting people going at it with relentlessness.
As a DevOps Engineer (Cloud Operations), you play a key role in keeping CueZen’s platform running smoothly, securely, and reliably for our clients. From monitoring cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting production issues to managing releases and resolving incidents, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations that keep our services running. Working closely with clients and CueZen’s product and engineering teams, you’ll help maintain a dependable platform while continuously improving how we operate and support it.
Responsibilities
- Daily operations: Run early-morning health checks and provide support throughout client business hours.
- Monitoring: Track AKS, VM, and Redis health using Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. Write KQL queries to investigate container logs, ingress and authentication traffic, and WAF events.
- AKS troubleshooting: Diagnose pod failures, restarts, resource constraints, scheduling issues, and image errors with kubectl.
- Airflow pipelines: Monitor the ingestion and recommendation-model DAGs and recover failed tasks before nudge delivery downstream is affected.
- Releases: Deploy CueZen’s go-live releases and interim patches through Argo CD. Cover the full cycle, from pre-deployment checks through post-deployment verification, with rollback readiness.
- Platform maintenance: Upgrade Argo CD and renew SPN, SSL/TLS certificates.
- Incidents: Lead investigations of L1 & L2 issues and deliver RCAs and timelines to the client, including the interim workaround and the permanent fix. Feed product-level issues back to CueZen’s product and engineering teams.
- Security and compliance: Collect evidence from Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and AKS configurations for the client’s security reviews. Recommend WAF tuning (OWASP CRS) rules where they block legitimate traffic.
- Coordination and documentation: Liaise with the client and its infrastructure vendor through service requests. Maintain the Ops guide and Ops tracker, and update runbooks as client access controls change, such as a move to restricted production access.
