Job Description

We are looking for a talented Electrical Maintenance Technician III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.

Job Summary:

Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensuring Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you'll help maintain a safe working environment.

• Compliance and Reporting: Your adherence to HSE standards and prompt reporting of any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will ensure compliance and enhance workplace safety.

• Environmental Stewardship: Recognizing the environmental impact of your work and striving to minimize negative effects will contribute to sustainable practices.

• Quality Craftsmanship: Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship will ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and processes.

• Preventive Maintenance: Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and supporting equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis will help maintain operational efficiency.

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Your proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance will ensure that equipment operates smoothly and meets applicable codes and standards.

• Team Support and Training: By instructing and coaching others, you'll foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

• Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams will drive enhancements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

Incorporate safe practices and procedures to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment. • Troubleshoot Electrical Systems: Analyze and resolve electrical control system issues to ensure proper operating conditions. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential for maintaining equipment reliability. • Implement Automation and Control Systems: Use available technology and programming techniques to automate manufacturing processes. This will optimize operations and improve efficiency. • Program Machines: Design and implement machine programs to enhance usage and overall operation. Your programming skills will contribute to smoother and more efficient production. • Apply Manufacturing Knowledge: Implement changes in processes, equipment, and applications to meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will help improve quality and efficiency. • Value Differences: Recognize and appreciate the value of diverse perspectives and cultures. This will foster an inclusive environment and enhance team collaboration.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

• Provide troubleshooting support for Equipment Downtimes • Use CMMS system eMaint for all work orders • Basis PLC troubleshooting experience

Base Rate: $30.50 - $37.07/hr
