Job Description

We are looking for a talented Production Associate II to join our 3rd Shift team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems business unit facility in York, SC.

Job Summary:

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensure Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe work environment.

• Report Incidents: Promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will contribute to a proactive safety culture.

• Compliance: Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that all safety and environmental guidelines are met.

• Use PPE: Consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment will protect you and your colleagues from potential hazards.

• Promote Team Safety: By looking out for one another and promoting interdependence, you’ll foster a supportive and safe workplace.

• Environmental Awareness: Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will support sustainability efforts.

• Quality Control: Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures will help maintain high product standards and reduce costs.

• Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in training and development, and engaging in ways to improve quality, safety, and processes will drive overall team and organizational success.

Responsibilities

This inclusivity will enhance team collaboration and innovation.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to recognize defects through visual inspections, read height, length, comtor and caliper gauges to ensure quality adherence. • Must be able to record data in compliance with PDCA requirements.

*2 Openings will be filled by Welders.

*1 Opening will be filled by a Machinist.

Base Rate: $19.00 - $23.09/hr

Shift Premium: $1.00/hr
