As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CGO will be responsible for developing and executing the firm's enterprise growth strategy while building the infrastructure, talent, and processes necessary to scale the business nationally.

The Chief Growth Officer will oversee business development and client acquisition initiatives, while partnering closely with executive leadership, marketing, advisory teams, and strategic partners to identify new opportunities for growth. This role will play a critical part in expanding referral networks, increasing market share, enhancing client acquisition efforts, and driving long-term enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for organic growth through advisor recruiting, referral channels, marketing initiatives, strategic partnerships, and market expansion.
  • Evaluate new markets, client segments, and service offerings that support the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain growth plans that align with the firm's financial objectives and long-term vision.

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Create and execute the firm's go-to-market strategy for business development and client acquisition.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability objectives across all business development channels.
  • Expand and optimize key referral channels, including custodial referral programs, professional centers of influence, strategic alliances, and firm-generated leads.
  • Leverage professional and personal networks to generate introductions and business opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and accountability measures that drive growth performance.
  • Monitor activities, pipeline management, conversion metrics, and revenue outcomes to ensure achievement of growth objectives.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top talent across the business development organization.
  • Scale the business development team from its current structure of four professionals to a national team of fifteen or more professionals over the next two to five years.
  • Lead and mentor Directors of Business Development and Business Development Associates through coaching, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
  • Build a high-performance culture that balances individual results with teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and shared success.
  • Align team objectives, incentives, and development plans with organizational growth goals.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Marketing to develop integrated growth strategies and maximize lead generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with advisory, operations, client service, and leadership teams to create seamless prospects to client experience.
  • Champion the use of technology, data analytics, and growth platforms to improve sales effectiveness, client engagement, and scalability.
  • Drive alignment across departments to ensure resources, priorities, and initiatives support firm-wide growth objectives.

Strategic Planning & Corporate Development

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO on growth-related initiatives, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise decision-making processes.
  • Support evaluation and execution of potential acquisition, merger, recruiting, and partnership opportunities that align with the firm's strategic goals.
  • Assist with integration and realization of growth opportunities resulting from strategic investments or acquisitions.

Key Skills

  • Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise-wide growth strategies that drive revenue, client acquisition, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling high-performing business development, sales, marketing, or growth organizations.
  • Significant executive leadership experience with responsibility for strategic planning, revenue growth, and organizational performance.
  • Deep understanding of the RIA, wealth management, and financial services landscape.
  • Experience identifying and executing new market opportunities, referral partnerships, advisor recruiting initiatives, and growth channels.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, revenue planning, and P&L oversight.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, client acquisition strategies, CRM systems, lead generation tools, analytics platforms, and growth technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership teams, boards of directors, and key stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with clients, referral partners, custodians, industry professionals, and centers of influence.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Leadership style that reflects and reinforces Curi Capital's values of Accountability, Curiosity, Teamwork, Inclusion, and Service Commitment.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Series 65 required; CFP®, CFA®, or other advanced industry designation preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within wealth management, investment advisory, financial services, asset management, or a related professional services industry.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
