Job Title

Marketing Manager

Job Description Summary

Manager is responsible for leading a team of Marketing Specialists and Senior Marketing Specialists in the development and execution of strategic property marketing programs for Brokerage Teams and Investor Clients.

Working in partnership with Property Marketing COE leadership, Design, Content, Web/Video, and other marketing partners, the Marketing Manager provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, workload management, and strategic guidance to ensure the team delivers timely, consistent, and high-quality marketing solutions.

This role serves as both a people leader and senior marketing advisor, helping team members translate business objectives into thoughtful marketing strategies while building strong relationships with brokerage professionals, clients, and cross-functional partners. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for driving operational excellence, team accountability, process adoption, and continuous improvement across the Property Marketing COE.

We are looking for an organized, strategic, and highly motivated leader who has strong marketing expertise, enjoys developing people, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial sales environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 5–8 Marketing Specialists and Senior Marketing Specialists, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability while creating an environment that supports collaboration, professional growth, and high performance.
  • Understand the individual strengths, development opportunities, and career goals of team members and provide meaningful coaching and stretch opportunities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, provide ongoing feedback, support performance reviews, and address performance or behavioral concerns when necessary.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members and reinforce Property Marketing COE processes, tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the team's marketing expertise, strategic thinking, project management, client service, and communication skills.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing, problem solving, and partnership across markets and disciplines.

Marketing Strategy & Client Service

  • Serve as a senior marketing resource and strategic advisor to Marketing Specialists, Brokerage Teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Guide the development of property marketing strategies that align with client objectives, target audiences, positioning, and overall business goals.
  • Help team members translate complex property information, market dynamics, and brokerage objectives into clear and compelling marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide strategic oversight for high-profile, complex, or sensitive assignments and step in to support client and brokerage conversations when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokerage Teams and key stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities to improve service and strengthen partnerships.
  • Coach team members on effectively managing broker and client expectations, navigating difficult conversations, and providing thoughtful marketing recommendations rather than simply executing requests.
  • Ensure marketing recommendations and deliverables consistently reflect a high standard of quality and reinforce Cushman & Wakefield's brand and market position.

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Partner with National Property Marketing COE leadership to develop, implement, and continuously improve best practices that support operational excellence and a scalable, effective marketing model.
  • Oversee team workload and resource allocation, balancing priorities and assignments based on project complexity, deadlines, capacity, and individual team member strengths.
  • Monitor project activity, deadlines, and workload to proactively identify capacity challenges, project risks, or service issues.
  • Ensure team members consistently follow established workflows, project management practices, service-level expectations, and Property Marketing COE processes.
  • Use project management tools, reporting, and team data to understand workload, productivity, resource needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding team capacity, performance, emerging challenges, and resource needs.
  • Identify recurring workflow or service challenges and develop solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall experience for Brokerage Teams and clients.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new processes, tools, technologies, and marketing capabilities across the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Graphic Design, Content, Web/Video, Digital Marketing, and other internal teams to deliver integrated property marketing solutions.
  • Ensure Marketing Specialists effectively scope projects, communicate objectives, provide clear direction to creative partners, and manage projects through completion.
  • Help resolve workflow, communication, or project challenges between Marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues in similar roles to encourage collaboration, consistency, and sharing of best practices at a national level.
  • Participate in broader Property Marketing COE initiatives, training, process development, and strategic programs as needed.
  • Stay current on commercial real estate marketing trends, emerging technologies, digital marketing capabilities, and industry best practices and share relevant knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of senior-level marketing experience
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading marketing professionals strongly preferred.
  • Commercial Real Estate marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing, professional services, agency, or sales-driven environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing strategy, including branding, print and digital marketing, email marketing, websites, presentations, advertising, and other property marketing channels.
  • Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to effectively manage both high-performing employees and employees who require additional coaching, direction, or performance management.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand brokerage and client objectives and translate them into effective marketing strategies.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects, priorities, and team workloads simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to work directly with senior brokerage professionals, clients, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to navigate challenging conversations, manage expectations, solve problems, and provide clear recommendations.
  • Experience with project management platforms and marketing technology strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret workload, project, and performance data and use insights to make informed management and resource decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to think strategically and understand the broader business objective.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative, make sound decisions, and operate effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
