The posting

Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. designs, builds and operates seawater conversion plants and water distribution systems in Grand Cayman and other countries in the Caribbean as well as our other jurisdictions globally. We invite applications from suitably qualified Caymanians/Status Holders and Permanent Resident with the Right to Work for the following position. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/STAFF ACCOUNTANT We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong accounts payable and general accounting experience to join the Finance Department of this multinational U.S.-listed, publicly traded company based in Grand Cayman. The position reports directly to the Controller. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of accounts payable and general accounting experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of accounting processes, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work effectively under strict deadlines. A solid understanding of accounting cutoffs and month-end processes is essential. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains, Cogsdale, and/or NetSuite is strongly preferred. Requirements Accounts Payable/Staff Accountant Responsibilities Coordinate all accounts payable functions, including opening mail, scanning invoices, managing the [email protected] inbox, entering invoices into the ERP system, reconciling vendor statements, processing electronic bank payments, and issuing and mailing checks in accordance with company policies and deadlines. Download daily bill payment reports from multiple banks for the Customer Service department to process payments in the Cogsdale billing system. Review and reconcile daily bill payments and other transactions posted from the Cogsdale billing system to the bank transaction reports and general ledger. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger account analyses and reconciliations, bank reconciliations, generating monthly management reports, and other accounting and administrative duties as needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Accounting Department.
