The posting

CyberSheath Services International LLC is a rapidly growing Managed Services Provider primarily focused on providing Cybersecurity services to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). We are excited to be expanding our staff due to our growth and are looking to add a Director of Channel Partnerships & Business Development to our team!

CyberSheath integrates compliance and threat mitigation efforts and eliminates redundant security practices that don’t improve and, in fact, may weaken an organization’s security posture. Our professionals tell clients where to stop spending, where to invest, and how to take what they are already doing and integrate it in a way that delivers improved security.

Successful candidates for CyberSheath are self-motivated, think out of the box, work, and solve issues independently. Additionally, our most successful people are self-starters and willing to put on many hats in order to succeed. CyberSheath is fast-growing and seeks candidates who want to be part of our upward trajectory.

Position Overview

CyberSheath is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Marketing to build and lead a high-performing marketing function during a pivotal period of market growth and increasing CMMC adoption. This leader will own the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy that strengthens brand authority, creates qualified pipeline, accelerates revenue, and positions CyberSheath as the trusted cybersecurity compliance partner for the Defense Industrial Base.

The Director of Marketing will translate complex cybersecurity, regulatory, and technical concepts into clear, credible, audience-specific messaging that resonates with executive buyers, IT and security leaders, compliance stakeholders, and operational leaders at defense contractors. This person will combine strategic rigor with operational excellence—setting the go-to-market plan while remaining close to campaigns, content, events, demand generation, performance analytics, and sales alignment.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven B2B marketing leader with experience in cybersecurity, managed services, compliance technology, government contracting, or similarly complex technical markets. They are comfortable operating in a growth-stage, private equity-backed environment, understand long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees, and know how to create measurable marketing impact.

What You’ll Do

Marketing Strategy and Go-to-Market

  • Develop and lead CyberSheath’s annual and quarterly marketing strategy in partnership with executive leadership, sales, solution engineering, customer success, and service delivery.
  • Define target segments, ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, market priorities, and account-tiering strategies for defense contractors and subcontractors navigating CMMC, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
  • Build integrated go-to-market plans for CyberSheath’s core managed compliance, managed security, managed IT, assessment, implementation, and secure enclave offerings.
  • Establish clear marketing priorities, budgets, milestones, operating cadences, and performance expectations tied to company revenue objectives.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and customer pain points that should inform messaging, campaigns, sales enablement, and product/service positioning.
  • Support market expansion and new-service launches with disciplined positioning, audience targeting, launch planning, campaign execution, and performance measurement.

Demand Generation and Revenue Marketing

  • Own the demand-generation engine from awareness through opportunity creation, working closely with Sales to drive pipeline quality, velocity, conversion, and revenue contribution.
  • Create and optimize multi-channel campaigns across digital advertising, search, email nurture, webinars, content syndication, events, partner marketing, social media, and account-based marketing.
  • Design programs that engage key buying-committee members, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CISOs, CIOs, IT leaders, compliance leaders, program managers, and operations executives.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to define lead stages, service-level agreements, qualification criteria, routing processes, follow-up expectations, and closed-loop reporting.
  • Build account-based marketing programs for priority accounts, strategic verticals, and high-value partner ecosystems.
  • Develop nurture paths that educate prospective customers on compliance urgency, business risk, assessment readiness, remediation needs, and the operational requirements of maintaining CMMC compliance over time.
  • Continuously test audience, channel, message, offer, and conversion-path hypotheses to improve marketing efficiency and pipeline outcomes.

Brand, Messaging, and Content

  • Own CyberSheath’s brand strategy, voice, positioning, messaging architecture, and narrative across external and internal-facing marketing assets.
  • Ensure CyberSheath clearly communicates its differentiation as a specialized, end-to-end cybersecurity compliance partner for defense contractors rather than a generalist technology or security provider.
  • Lead development of high-value thought leadership, including executive articles, regulatory explainers, blogs, guides, case studies, solution briefs, webinars, customer stories, analyst-facing content, and event presentations.
  • Translate highly technical and regulatory subject matter into accessible, commercially relevant content without sacrificing accuracy or credibility.
  • Partner with internal subject-matter experts to develop compelling perspectives on CMMC 2.0, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, secure CUI environments, managed security, assessment readiness, and continuous compliance.
  • Maintain a high editorial standard and a consistent content calendar that supports organic demand, customer education, sales enablement, search visibility, and executive thought leadership.
  • Oversee website messaging, conversion paths, content governance, SEO priorities, and user experience improvements.

Product and Sales Enablement

  • Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Service Delivery to sharpen service positioning, customer value propositions, competitive differentiation, and proof points.
  • Develop sales-enablement materials such as pitch decks, battlecards, solution briefs, case studies, industry-specific messaging, objection-handling resources, and customer presentation templates.
  • Equip revenue teams with clear, current, and consistent messaging for every stage of the buyer journey.
  • Create mechanisms to capture and distribute market intelligence from prospects, customers, partners, competitors, and frontline revenue teams.
  • Support customer marketing initiatives, including advocacy, testimonials, referral programs, case studies, and expansion campaigns.

Events, Partnerships, and Field Marketing

  • Refine CyberSheath’s strategy for industry events, trade shows, conferences, webinars, and executive programs relevant to the DIB, defense contracting, cybersecurity, compliance, and government technology markets.
  • Ensure events are planned against measurable objectives, including target-account engagement, meeting generation, pipeline influence, partner activation, and revenue impact.
  • Build co-marketing programs with strategic technology, channel, and ecosystem partners, including Microsoft and other organizations serving the compliance and defense-contractor market.
  • Identify opportunities for CyberSheath executives and subject-matter experts to build visibility through speaking engagements, contributed content, media opportunities, and industry participation.

Analytics, Operations, and Team Leadership

  • Establish a metrics-driven marketing operating model that measures awareness, engagement, marketing-sourced pipeline, marketing-influenced pipeline, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, campaign ROI, pipeline velocity, and revenue contribution.
  • Build and maintain reliable dashboards and executive reporting that clearly communicate marketing performance, key insights, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Manage marketing technology, data hygiene, attribution, campaign operations, and budget discipline in partnership with Revenue Operations and other internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and optimize the marketing technology stack, vendors, agencies, freelancers, and internal resources to ensure efficient execution.
  • Hire, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing marketing team as the organization grows.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, customer-centric culture that values speed, quality, experimentation, commercial impact, and continuous improvement.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6 to 12 months, the Director of Marketing will be expected to:

  • Establish a clear, differentiated, and consistent market narrative for CyberSheath and its service portfolio.
  • Implement an integrated demand-generation strategy that produces a predictable flow of qualified opportunities.
  • Strengthen alignment between Marketing, Sales, Solution Engineering, and Customer Success around target accounts, lead management, messaging, and pipeline goals.
  • Improve visibility into marketing performance through practical, trusted funnel and revenue reporting.
  • Elevate CyberSheath’s thought-leadership presence in the CMMC, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, and broader DIB cybersecurity compliance market.
  • Build a scalable content engine that supports organic growth, outbound sales efforts, customer education, and partner engagement.
  • Improve conversion across core marketing journeys, including website engagement, webinar registration, gated-content conversion, demo requests, assessment inquiries, and sales-accepted leads.
  • Establish a repeatable field, event, and partner-marketing framework tied to measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including 3+ years in a marketing leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable pipeline, revenue, and market growth.
  • Experience marketing complex B2B services, technology solutions, cybersecurity offerings, managed services, compliance solutions, SaaS, or enterprise IT services.
  • Strong command of demand generation, account-based marketing, content strategy, digital marketing, field marketing, campaign operations, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations with long, complex sales cycles and multiple economic, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into customer-focused positioning, messaging, and content.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, writing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in fast-moving, growth-oriented environments.
  • Analytical mindset and fluency with funnel metrics, attribution, conversion analysis, pipeline reporting, and campaign performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity, cybersecurity compliance, managed security services, managed IT services, GRC, risk management, or regulated technology markets.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Industrial Base, federal contracting, CMMC 2.0, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, FedRAMP, CUI, or government cloud environments.
  • Experience marketing to defense contractors, manufacturers, engineering firms, federal contractors, or regulated mid-market organizations.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth business environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, web analytics, SEO, paid media, intent-data, ABM, and attribution tools.
  • Experience launching services, entering new markets, repositioning a brand, or scaling a marketing organization.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role with occasional travel for industry events and offsite meetings

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
