The posting

CyberTrust Massachusetts is a nonprofit organization that operates a Security Operations Center (SOC) staffed by student interns in Analyst roles. The SOC delivers advanced services to cities, towns, school districts and non-profits statewide, and offers analysts an elite internship experience. We recruit students solely through a consortium of 10 higher ed institutions and workforce development programs, representing approximately 1,000 students enrolled in cybersecurity programs.

CyberTrust hires approximately 48 - 50 interns each year through four quarterly cohorts of about 12 interns each.

We are seeking a Campus Recruiter to elevate the visibility and reputation of the internship program across the consortium and own the internship recruiting process from end to end, with the primary responsibility of recruiting 12 exceptional interns for each quarterly cohort by the required deadline.

This is a remote position for candidates located in Massachusetts or nearby, with multiple in-person visits per week to partner campuses, career fairs, conferences, and other recruiting events throughout Massachusetts.

Primary Responsibility

The Campus Recruiter is responsible for promoting the program and building and managing the candidate pipeline across all 10 educational partners and ensuring each cohort reaches its hiring target.

The recruiter will:

  • Fill each quarterly cohort with 12 exceptional interns within the quarterly deadline.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with CyberTrust's 10 educational partners, with on-campus presence that fits each institution.
  • Recruit top prospects through campus outreach, faculty and career services relationships, presentations, career fairs, social media, email, and other channels.
  • Monitor applicant flow and proactively address pipeline gaps when a cohort is below target.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and recommend qualified candidates for advancement.
  • Coordinate second- and third-round interviews with the CyberTrust team.
  • Manage references, background-check documentation, offers, and candidate communication through the start date.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for each quarterly cohort.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and manage the ATS.

Recruiting Data & Reporting

  • Track quarterly recruiting metrics by educational partner, including prospects, applications, qualified candidates, candidates in process, interviews, offers, acceptances, and starts.
  • Track and document reasons for rejection or ineligibility.
  • Monitor candidate flow and conversion by educational partner.
  • Provide quarterly recruiting reports and identify opportunities to improve applicant flow and candidate quality.

Campus Marketing & Additional Projects

  • Create and coordinate recruitment materials for educational partners, including flyers, presentations, email communications, and other promotional collateral.
  • Promote CyberTrust internship opportunities across partner campuses and workforce programs.
  • Coordinate campus visits, information sessions, career fairs, interviews, and other recruiting activities.
  • Leverage faculty relationships to identify top prospects.
  • Engage current and past interns to help promote the CyberTrust program at their schools.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics across candidates, educational partners, and CyberTrust staff.
  • Support ad hoc recruiting, marketing, campus engagement, and program improvement projects.
  • Provide feedback on recruiting materials, job descriptions, candidate experience, and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in recruitment, campus recruiting, career services, or human resources.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Extrovert—comfortable in front of a crowd or one-on-one with strangers.
  • Passionate about connecting students to opportunities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
