**Dalux is growing, and we are looking for experienced software developers who want to combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
As a Team Lead, you lead from within the development team. Around half of your time is spent developing software, while the rest is focused on technical direction, product collaboration, planning, mentoring, and helping your team perform at its best.
You will have significant influence on both the products we build and how we build them – including how we use agentic AI across software development.
**Your role
**Each Dalux development team owns one or more areas of our product portfolio, including its functionality, architecture, quality, performance, reliability, and long-term technical health.
As Team Lead, you are the technical anchor of the team. You work closely with developers, a Product Manager, and a Product Designer to understand problems, set technical direction, and turn product priorities into high-quality software.
This is primarily a technical leadership role rather than a traditional people-management position, and you will spend approximately 50% of your time developing software hands-on.
The rest of your role typically includes:
- Setting technical direction and defining architectural solutions with the team
- Working with the Product Manager to understand requirements, challenge scope, and translate priorities into development work
- Planning and prioritizing work while maintaining a healthy and sustainable flow
- Helping the team break down complex technical and product problems
- Mentoring developers through technical sparring, reviews, and day-to-day collaboration
- Taking responsibility for the quality and long-term health of your team's software
- Identifying opportunities to improve architecture, tools, development practices, and ways of working
- Driving improvements beyond your own team when they can make Dalux Development better
We expect Team Leads to have opinions, challenge existing approaches, and create clarity when there is no obvious answer.
**Leading development with agentic AI
**We are significantly increasing our use of agentic AI in software development.
We use and explore AI across the development lifecycle – from understanding problems and navigating codebases to implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and review.
As a Team Lead, you are expected to have hands-on experience using agentic AI in your own development workflow. The specific tools matter less than how you use them: providing the right context and direction, critically evaluating the output, and knowing when to intervene or take a different approach.
Your role goes beyond your own workflow. You will help your team experiment with agentic development, identify where it genuinely improves engineering effectiveness, share useful practices, and maintain the engineering judgment and quality standards required for production software.
AI can increase what capable developers can achieve, but responsibility for architecture, correctness, maintainability, and quality remains with the team.

**Our platform is built on a distributed cloud architecture using AWS.
Depending on the team, you may work with technologies such as:
- Full-stack: C# / .NET, Angular / TypeScript, GitHub Copilot, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, WebGL, DirectX
- Mobile: .NET MAUI, Vulkan
- AI and Computer Vision: C++, Python, computer vision and machine learning technologies

**Product development at Dalux
**Our developers do more than implement specifications.
Developers, Product Managers, and Product Designers work together to understand problems and find solutions that balance user value, usability, technical feasibility, business viability, and long-term technical health.
As Team Lead, you bring the technical perspective into those discussions. You help the team understand why we are building something, challenge proposed solutions when necessary, and ensure technical considerations are part of product decisions from the beginning.
**Your background
**You are an experienced software developer who enjoys taking responsibility beyond your own code.
You may already be a Team Lead or Lead Developer. Or you may be the developer others turn to when a difficult technical decision needs to be made, a problem needs structure, or another developer needs help moving forward.
We expect that you:
- Have solid professional software development experience
- Have at least six months of practical experience using agentic AI as part of your software development workflow
- Have an educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field
- Have experience taking a key technical role within a development team
- Are comfortable making and facilitating technical decisions
- Enjoy mentoring and helping other developers improve
- Can create structure and direction without controlling every detail
- Have strong communication, facilitation, and planning skills
- Care about maintainability, reliability, performance, and engineering quality
- Understand how to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
- Can identify opportunities to improve development practices and ways of working
Experience with our exact technology stack is useful, but technical judgment, leadership ability, and strong software engineering fundamentals matter more.
