Help make warehouses safer, one inspection at a time.

Do you enjoy working independently, visiting different sites, and using technology to solve practical problems? Join Damotech as a Field Survey Technician and play an important role in helping warehouses maintain safer pallet racking systems.

In this field-based role, you will visit customer facilities to assess pallet rack damage, collect accurate measurements and photographs, and document your findings. Your work will provide the estimating, engineering, and sales teams with the information they need to prepare accurate project quotes and support customer solutions.

If you are detail-oriented, comfortable with frequent travel, confident using digital tools, and at home in industrial environments, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Conduct Field Surveys and Inspections

  • Visit distribution centers, industrial warehouses, and other customer facilities to survey pallet racking systems.
  • Collect accurate measurements, photographs, and observations of rack damage using an iPad and other mobile tools.
  • Document damage and site conditions according to company standards.
  • Prepare clear, complete survey records that support project estimating and quoting.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work with estimating, engineering, and sales teams to ensure field information is complete and processed efficiently.
  • Serve as a key link between on-site operations and internal teams by submitting accurate, high-quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with field support specialists to support dealer and customer opportunities.

Manage Digital Documentation

  • Record site visits and customer interactions in the CRM, such as HubSpot.
  • Submit survey documentation promptly to keep the quoting process moving.

Travel and Work Safely in the Field

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, with travel required 100% of the time.
  • Work independently in active warehouse and industrial environments.
  • Follow customer site safety rules, company procedures, and applicable PPE requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of fieldwork or site inspection experience in industrial services, construction, warehousing, or a related environment.
  • Comfort working in active warehouse settings and navigating large facilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to collect and document accurate information.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • This is a field-based position involving extensive time in active warehouse environments.
  • You must be comfortable walking through large facilities and accessing lower rack components to conduct inspections.
  • Some activities may require lifting up to 25 lbs, crouching, or kneeling.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, and a strong commitment to workplace safety is essential.
