Our Team
Dandelion Health https://dandelionhealth.ai/ was founded in 2020 by experts in health tech https://www.linkedin.com/in/elliott-green-98433b2/, hospital systems https://www.linkedin.com/in/niyum-gandhi/, academia https://sendhil.org/, and clinical AI http://ziadobermeyer.com/. We are building the world’s largest AI training and clinical development platform. Today, we pride ourselves on our ability to make data access as easy as possible for AI developers, pharma, and medical devices, while raising the bar for patient safety and data quality. Tomorrow, we will be the place where any healthcare organization can go to build a responsible clinical AI product. Our culture is all about learning from data and improving, so we can help our clients improve health through AI. Meet the rest of our team here https://dandelionhealth.ai/team.
Our Data
We partner with health systems http://dandelionhealth.ai/team to safely and ethically make their de-identified patient data available to AI developers. Currently, the data is acquired from Sharp HealthCare, Sanford Health, and Texas Health Resources https://dandelionhealth.ai/team – with two additional U.S. health systems joining soon.
We have clinical data dating back to July 1, 2016. This data represents over 10 million patients and includes but is not limited to:
- Structured data (e.g., 100% of the EMR, including some claims)
- Unstructured text (e.g., clinical notes, radiology reports)
- Images (e.g., DICOM, pathology)
- Video
- Waveforms
- Continuous streaming monitoring data
Your Role
The Director, Network Strategy & Operations owns Dandelion's relationships with its Consortium health system partners and ensures the operational integrity of the data pipeline that underpins every commercial engagement. This role sits at the intersection of partnership management and data compliance/delivery operations: It is equal parts relationship owner and operational quality-control backstop, responsible for making sure each health system partner is a reliable, well-supported, and a compliant source of data for Dandelion's commercial pipeline.
This is a hybrid strategic/hands-on role. The right candidate is comfortable running executive-level conversations with health system leadership one day and troubleshooting a de-identification or data transfer issue the next.
Key Responsibilities
Health System Partnership Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for Dandelion's five Consortium health system partners
- Manage the full partner lifecycle: Onboarding, ongoing relationship health, escalations, and expansion conversations.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with health system leadership (e.g., CMOs, informatics/IT leadership, research, privacy, compliance leadership), including representing Dandelion at partner-facing meetings and symposia.
- Draft and lead escalation communications when partner-side delays or issues (e.g., de-identification bottlenecks, EMR extraction delays, patient ID linkage or data transfer issues) put client-facing commitments at risk, coordinating resolution across internal and partner-side technical teams.
- Own recurring partner-facing deliverables, including monthly/quarterly Executive Committee updates tailored to each health system partner.
- Track and manage partner-specific technical migrations and infrastructure changes (e.g., imaging system moves, data warehouse migrations, cloud infrastructure transitions) that affect data delivery timelines.
- Negotiate and manage core partnership agreements (Network Participant Agreements, subcontractor BAAs, data use agreements), coordinating with Legal on redlines and ensuring alignment with platform terms and conditions.
Network Strategy & Value Creation
- Own the long-term strategy for the Consortium network.
- Develop and continuously refine Dandelion's value proposition to health system partners.
- Build a deep, ongoing understanding of each partner's institutional needs, motivations, and incentives (e.g., research ambitions, innovation mandates, CMIO/CMO priorities, financial pressures) and use that understanding to tailor the partnership relationship and roadmap for each system.
- Identify and develop new categories of partner value beyond data commercialization
- Direct introductions and relationship-building between partners who could benefit from the partner's specific data assets or clinical expertise
- Translate partner-level insights and strategic priorities into input for company-wide network strategy, board reporting, and OKR planning
- Act as the internal advocate for the health system perspective, ensuring product, commercial, and executive decisions account for what keeps health systems engaged and invested in the Consortium long-term.
Data Compliance & Delivery Operations
- In partnership with Chief Data and Technology Officers:
- Oversee data compliance infrastructure across the partner network, including de-identification methodology (expert determination and HIPAA Safe Harbor approaches) and its consistent application across health systems.
- Oversee data quality assurance processes for partner data deliverables, identifying and resolving scope creep, QA delays, and root-cause issues (e.g., exclusions logic, patient ID linkage, PACS/imaging transfer) before they affect client commitments.
- Ensure technical/methodology documentation (e.g., de-identification) is documented and communicated clearly and effectively for health system partners.
- Manage technical and privacy/compliance conversations regarding data requirements and delivery, balancing client needs against partner risk tolerance.
- Serve as the internal point of accountability for data delivery infrastructure health across all Consortium partners.
Commercial & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with the commercial/BD team to ensure health system data capabilities are well-represented in client-facing materials and pipeline conversations.
- Provide subject-matter input on health system data assets (e.g., ECG, echo, imaging depth) to support new client opportunities and pitch materials.
What Success Looks Like
- Health system partners view Dandelion as a trusted, well-run counterparty that provides value beyond data commercialization.
- Data compliance processes run predictably, with issues caught and resolved before they become client-facing risks.
- Internal teams (commercial, product, engineering) have a reliable single point of contact for anything health-system related.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare partnerships, health system operations, healthcare data/compliance, or a related field; experience working directly with hospital systems strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships at the executive level.
- Comfortable operating across both strategic (partnership strategy, executive communications) and tactical (data QA, technical troubleshooting) altitudes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for sensitive escalation and partner-facing communications.
- Experience with healthcare data types (structured EHR, clinical notes, ECG, echo, imaging) and de-identification/HIPAA a plus.
- Prior experience in a data licensing, life sciences, or health data platform business a plus.
