The posting

**The Impact You'll Make

**As Senior Manager, Front-End Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of Sensing Solutions. You will lead our Front-End Engine and growth opportunity portfolio, helping identify where we should invest next across technologies, markets, partnerships, and business models.

Working at the intersection of technology, customer insights, and business strategy, you will turn emerging trends, customer needs, and strategic priorities into actionable growth opportunities. Your recommendations will influence critical investment decisions and help ensure we focus our resources on the opportunities with the greatest potential to create customer value and accelerate business growth.

Sensing Solutions, part of Danfoss Climate Solutions, develops sensor technologies that help customers improve efficiency, performance, and sustainability. In this role, you'll help define the future direction of the business while contributing to technologies that support the global energy transition and reduce climate impact.

**What You’ll Be Doing

**

  • Own and continuously enhance the Sensing Front-End Engine and portfolio governance processes, ensuring transparency, alignment, and effective decision-making across the organization
  • Build, maintain, and prioritize a portfolio of growth opportunities by translating customer needs, market trends, emerging technologies, and strategic priorities into validated investment opportunities
  • Lead selected strategic initiatives, including new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and M&A-related assessments, from early exploration through recommendation and decision-making
  • Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation discussions, ensuring investment decisions are aligned with business priorities, available resources, and long-term growth ambitions
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Segment Management, Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, and senior leaders to accelerate opportunity development, strengthen alignment, and support execution

You will also help build Front-End capabilities across the organization by coaching opportunity owners and promoting a consistent, evidence-based approach to opportunity evaluation and portfolio management.

**What We're Looking For

**

  • A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, combined with significant experience in strategy, business development, product management, portfolio management, or similar commercial roles within a technology-driven organization
  • Proven experience identifying, validating, and developing growth opportunities, turning market insights, customer needs, and business objectives into clear recommendations, business cases, and investment priorities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex environments and balance opportunity potential with business priorities and resource constraints
  • Experience working across functions and influencing stakeholders in areas such as engineering, sales, operations, supply chain, and senior leadership
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to build networks, create alignment, and help teams move from ideas to decisions and results

Experience with sensing technologies, particularly pressure, gas, or temperature sensing, is an advantage. Knowledge of the HVACR, data center, water, or off-highway industries, as well as experience with strategic partnerships, business development, or M&A activities, would also be beneficial.

As many of our primary stakeholders are located in Nordborg you will be expected to be on site frequently to build a strong relation with them.

**What You'll Get From Us

**You'll help engineer a better future by contributing to solutions that make a real difference around the world.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the long-term growth strategy of a global business, working on some of the most important decisions shaping the future of Sensing Solutions. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, gain exposure across the value chain, and help bring new technologies, partnerships, and business opportunities to life.

We promote development from within and support learning through collaboration, mentoring, training and access to global opportunities.

You will have flexibility, autonomy and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We strive to create an inclusive working environment where people of different backgrounds and perspectives are respected and valued.

Benefits may include annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance and other locally applicable benefits.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
