The posting

Become part of Group Internal Audit and help improve Danske Bank’s resilience by delivering assurance for the Group’s second line of defense Regulatory Compliance function. You will assess how regulatory compliance risks are identified, monitored, challenged and reported, using risk-based auditing, data analytics and AI-enabled tools to deliver meaningful insight across the organisation.

What you will be doing

You will lead, or contribute to, audits of the Group’s second line of defence Regulatory Compliance function, assessing governance, risk management and controls across regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan and conduct audits covering areas such as compliance risk assessments and Group Wide Risk Assessments, risk-based activity planning, compliance oversight and monitoring, management information and reporting
  • Perform audits of specific regulatory compliance risk areas, including market integrity and market abuse surveillance, conflicts of interest, regulatory engagement, conduct risk and emerging compliance risks associated with new technologies and AI
  • Apply professional scepticism, data analytics and technology-enabled audit techniques to identify risk patterns, test controls and deliver impactful audit insights
  • Engage confidently with stakeholders at all organisational levels, communicate audit conclusions clearly and concisely, and monitor the timely resolution of audit findings and risk mitigation actions
  • Contribute to the continuous development of audit methodologies, data-driven auditing techniques and the use of AI-enabled tools within Group Internal Audit

About you

We imagine that you bring:

  • Several years of experience in internal audit, compliance, external audit, consulting, risk management or a comparable role in financial services
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance risks, governance frameworks and the role of a second line Regulatory Compliance function
  • Ability to assess complex regulatory and governance topics and communicate clear, well-supported conclusions to senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in leveraging data analytics and technology-enabled auditing techniques

We welcome candidates who bring curiosity, professional judgement and a commitment to continuous learning. Familiarity with AI-enabled audit tools or specific regulatory areas such as market abuse surveillance, conduct risk or regulatory engagement would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

What we offer you

We invest in your development through training that matches your career aspirations. You will work in a collaborative environment that values different perspectives, professional curiosity and innovative thinking.

As part of Group Internal Audit, you will deliver independent assurance, insight and foresight and gain a unique enterprise-wide perspective on Regulatory Compliance’s risks, governance and control practices across the Group.

Our hybrid working model supports 3 to 4 days per week in the office, enabling close collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development.

Are you ready for the next step?

If you are motivated by understanding how regulatory compliance risks are managed at Group level and want to apply your experience in an independent assurance role, we would be pleased to hear from you. If you have any questions before applying, please reach out to hiring manager, Christoffer Øhauge Pedersen at [email protected].

We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible or by 4 December 2026 at the latest.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
