About Daptic

Daptic is building the future of regulatory intelligence, with the mission to empower global manufacturers to navigate complex regulations seamlessly and accelerate the global launch of physical products.

With government regulations and standards becoming increasingly complex, product delays and innovation roadblocks are more common than ever. Daptic automates the identification and analysis of relevant regulations, standards, and product requirements, allowing R&D teams to focus on what they do best: creating groundbreaking products within automotive, aerospace, construction, medicine and healthcare, and beyond.

Currently, with a small focused team, we’re proud to be supporting the development of products used by over 100 million people worldwide.

We’ve secured over $22M in total funding from Canvas Ventures, IA Ventures, 8VC, and other institutional investors who believe in our vision to revolutionize product development.

The Role

As Daptic’s Head of Sales, you’ll own how we win new business with the world’s largest enterprises. We’ve stood up a successful sales motion and internalized general best practices across our sales pods (Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Forward Deployed Regulatory Engineers). Your job will be to sharpen it into a repeatable, high-performing sales engine, refining the sales cycle and leading the team that runs it.

This is a hands-on, player-coach role. You’ll operate across altitudes: setting sales strategy, building the processes underneath, hiring and coaching our growing team of AEs, and stepping in on our most strategic deals. Our deals are complex and cross-functional, spanning R&D, regulatory, legal, and procurement teams at global enterprises. Because we’re defining a new category, you’ll often be shaping how a customer thinks about the problem before they ever evaluate a solution. You’ll work closely with our founders, Product, and Engineering, and bring what you learn in the market back into what we build.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Own the Sales Engine Own the pipeline of qualified leads including, forecasting, and bookings, with a strong bias toward accuracy and accountability Refine how we sell: define sales stages, protocols, deal structure, and everything else on the path from demo through close Run the sales operating cadence, including forecast calls, deal reviews, and win/loss analysis Sharpen the playbooks, reporting, and enablement that let new reps ramp quickly and ensure a consistent motion as we scale
  2. Build and Lead the Team Hire, onboard, and coach our next waves of AEs, and set the bar for what great looks like Coach through the work itself: join calls, review deals, and provide feedback that makes each rep sharper Create a performance culture with clear expectations, metrics, and ownership
  3. Lead Strategic Enterprise Deals Step in on our most strategic opportunities, building executive relationships across stakeholders, budget owners, and relevant champions Navigate customer dynamics to streamline trials, procurement, security reviews, etc. at global enterprises Bring what you learn in the field back to Product, Engineering, and GTM Strategy & Operations, shaping roadmap priorities, positioning, and pricing

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, including leading and scaling sales teams at a high-growth company
  • You’ve helped take a sales organization from early traction to a repeatable, scalable motion, either as a leader or as a top IC
  • A track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals at large enterprises, navigating long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and formal procurement and security review
  • Demonstrated technical acumen, with the ability to go deep on a highly technical product in front of engineering, regulatory, and IT stakeholders
  • Experience building with AI tools, with AI already part of how you work day to day
  • Available to work in our office in New York City 5 days per week
  • Open to travel (10% - 50%) as required to support business needs

Bonus

  • Experience selling into manufacturing, R&D, regulatory, or compliance functions specifically
  • Experience selling a new category, where the main competition is the status quo
  • Experience working alongside Solutions Engineers or Forward Deployed Engineers on complex deals

What We Value

  • Strong attention to detail and a “110% mindset” in all tasks
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, credible with senior engineering, regulatory, and legal leaders alike
  • You love being in the deals, especially the early, messy ones, and you lead by doing rather than managing from the sidelines
  • A proven ability to ramp fast on unfamiliar material (e.g., customer context, product specifics, and market dynamics). We sell to experts across topics like safety, emissions, cyber, data privacy, and restricted substances, and across many industries
  • Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously, with an ability to quickly switch contexts
  • Experience thriving in unstructured environments, demonstrating adaptability and initiative

Salary & Benefits

This role offers variable compensation, equity participation, and access to our comprehensive benefits program, which covers health, dental, and vision, as well as unlimited PTO.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
