Manufacturing - Processing/ Packaging Technician Duties:

Operate complex automated food packaging machinery Use complex software to support packaging procedures (HMI) Demonstrate food safety and quality concepts (e.g. cleaning and sanitation of equipment) Conduct start up, in process and finished product quality testing based on standards Identify issues, determine the root cause, and work with maintenance and engineering teams to develop permanent solutions Perform routine technical maintenance to the equipment Conduct equipment testing All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Post Secondary Education Skilled in the principles of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Hands on experience with food processing equipment Strong technical skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving A history of meeting and exceeding challenging performance goals; a desire to “win” Ability to perform tasks effectively both individually and as a member of a team Understands basic principles of Food Safety and Quality Strong communication skills Dependable attendance
