About the Role

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team supporting Datacor’s engineering software division. This person will have a strong engineering background to drive the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for our engineering simulation software products. This role bridges technical expertise with customer-focused storytelling to ensure our solutions are clearly differentiated in the market.

The ideal candidate will combine product marketing experience with a degree in engineering, enabling them to translate complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions for engineers, plant operators, and decision-makers. The marketing team is a lean, high-output team and the right candidate is energized by both strategy and execution.

Responsibilities:

Market Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop differentiated product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for our engineering simulation solutions in a variety of industries and applications.
  • Deeply understand and communicate how the Datacor software and applications enhance mechanical and chemical engineering process design and analysis.
  • Create technical and commercial content, including product briefs, blog posts, technical papers, case studies, competitive battlecards, and more.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches and major releases, working cross-functionally with product management, sales, demand generation, and services teams.
  • Write, design and execute email campaigns (copy and visuals) for customers to promote product adoption and company information.
  • Partner with events and demand generation teams to execute prospective and customer marketing campaigns including webinars, conferences, trade shows, and email marketing.
  • Work with global channel partners and provide marketing assets that enable them to effectively promote and sell Datacor Engineering solutions.
  • Ability to capture technical use cases and customer use cases into commercial content.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and trends.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and marketing strategy.
  • Develop buyer personas and map customer journeys to guide marketing programs.
  • Comfortable working with complex and technical customer audiences.

Sales Enablement & External Engagement

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive library of sales enablement materials including presentations, product collateral, product demo videos, training guides, and more.
  • Develop and deliver (as needed) presentation decks for customer meetings, conferences, and sales engagements.
  • Represent the company by presenting at conferences, symposiums, and industry events to technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or a related role within engineering software, simulation, or process industries.
  • Comfortable moving fluidly between strategic and executional work, with a 'whatever needs to be done' approach to contributing on a small team.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear, customer-focused messaging. Must be able to translate complex engineering and product data and information into business value.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience conducting competitive and market analysis.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting complex information to technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision, while meeting deadlines and delivering results.

At Datacor, we believe great work deserves great rewards. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Flexible time off (FTO) policy
  • Paid parental leave

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
