The posting

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including pediatrics, nursing homes, and inpatient facilities. The LVN will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals with diverse health needs.

Duties

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Provide care for patients with developmental disabilities and those requiring specialized attention.
  • Assist in the management of infectious disease care protocols.
  • Support behavioral health initiatives by providing compassionate care to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in teaching hospitals to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in pediatrics or working with children is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with caring for individuals in nursing home settings is a plus.
  • Experience managing infectious diseases and providing behavioral health support is beneficial.
  • A background in inpatient care within a teaching hospital environment is preferred.
  • Strong skills in monitoring vital signs and understanding patient aliment are essential.
