Job Description:

Corporate Title Vice President

Location New York

Overview

As part of the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Risk Appetite team, you will lead production, oversight, and continuous improvement of risk appetite reporting. You will deliver accurate, timely, and actionable management information and risk analysis that enables senior management and governance committees to monitor financial crime risk exposure. Through your reporting, you will provide clear insight into control effectiveness and adherence to the Bank’s risk appetite. Your work will support informed decision-making and strengthen the organization’s ability to identify, manage, and respond to financial crime risk.

What We Offer You

  • A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration
  • A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days
  • Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement
  • Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits
  • Educational resources, matching gift and volunteer programs

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the timely and accurate production and presentation of AFC Risk Appetite reporting for senior management and governance committees, clearly articulating key trends, threshold breaches, emerging risks, management actions, and matters requiring decision or escalation
  • Maintain a comprehensive client inventory by business unit, mapped to applicable AFC controls, and develop client and business-unit risk profiles incorporating relevant risk factors, concentrations, emerging threats, and control effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain AFC risk appetite metrics, thresholds, dashboards, and escalation criteria that connect risk exposure and control performance to the established risk appetite framework
  • Consolidate information from Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud, and other AFC functions; analyze trends, breaches, concentrations, and thematic risks to provide an integrated view of AFC risk and required management action
  • Prepare clear, data-driven materials for AFC governance forums and enhance risk appetite methodologies, reporting standards, data-quality controls, and monitoring and escalation processes
  • Support Group Audit and regulatory examinations and contribute to AFC governance, remediation, and change-the-bank initiatives affecting the risk appetite framework or reporting environment

How You’ll Lead

  • Serve as the central coordinator for AFC Risk Appetite reporting across regions, business lines, and control functions, partnering with key stakeholders to promote consistent interpretation and reporting of risk exposure
  • Provide constructive challenge to reported metrics and underlying data, ensuring information is complete, accurate, well-supported, and meaningful, while driving accountability and promptly resolving or escalating reporting issues and material concerns
  • Communicate complex risk information through concise, evidence-based narratives that enable executive decision-making

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in AFC, risk management, governance, or management information reporting, with knowledge of AFC regulatory requirements and industry standards, including the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Strong understanding of risk appetite frameworks, key risk indicators, governance processes, thresholds, escalation protocols, and expectations for risk governance and management information
  • Demonstrated ability to produce executive-level management information and reporting for senior committees or governance forums, assess risk data, identify trends and issues, and translate findings into clear recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills across multiple functions and regions
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience across AML, KYC, Sanctions, Fraud, or other AFC risk disciplines
  • Experience developing dashboards and management information using Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or comparable reporting tools
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audit reviews, remediation programmes, or risk-transformation initiatives
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, follow through on deliverables, and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to translate complex datasets and technical issues into concise narratives for executive and board-level audiences

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
