Overview

This senior leadership role will report to the Head of Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Production & Reliability Engineering. You will lead the Global Credit Production Engineering across FIC Technology, a globally distributed team, supporting the delivery of the strategic vision, while maintaining day-to-day accountability for day-to-day production stability. Seniority and influence will be critical in engaging executive stakeholders, setting standards, and guiding a global team efficiently.

What We Offer You

  • A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days
  • Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement
  • Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits
  • Educational resources, matching gift and volunteer programs

What You’ll Do

  • Drive global production stability across the Credit business, aligning engineering priorities with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and platform resilience goals
  • Embed modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and lead the transformation from reactive support to a proactive, data‑driven, automation‑first engineering discipline
  • Enhance platform robustness by challenging and reviewing architectures, contributing to tooling strategy, and role‑modelling excellence in incident response, post‑incident analysis, and risk reduction

How You’ll Lead

  • Act as a senior partner to the Head of Credit Trading, Credit desk leads, technology executives, and adjacent business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, aligned priorities, and shared accountability for platform performance and health
  • Develop, mentor, and scale a high‑performing global SRE‑aligned team, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement

Skills You’ll Need

  • Expertise in incident management, post‑mortem and problem‑management culture, change governance, and operating within regulated financial environments
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, Structured Query Language, and programming in C++, Java, Python, or equivalent scripting languages; strong understanding of distributed systems, low‑latency architectures, APIs and event driven architecture
  • Hands‑on experience with observability and telemetry platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, OpenTelemetry) and infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines)
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud, containerization, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern deployment methodologies
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Leadership experience managing SRE or Production Engineering functions in complex, high‑availability, real‑time environments, ideally within capital markets
  • Experience working in a Trading environment and knowledge of pricing, trade capture, market‑data flows, and fixed income products; exposure to Foreign Exchange or algorithmic and electronic trading in large scale environments is advantageous

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
