Overview
As a Senior Security Architect, you will design and implement the Bank’s cybersecurity capabilities across cloud , on-premises, SaaS and hybrid environments. This is a hands-on architecture role for an engineer who has progressed into architecture and can take security solutions from POC through production. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, experience with enterprise security implementations, and the ability to work with engineering, cloud, application, infrastructure, and security teams.

What You’ll Do
- Design and implement enterprise security architectures across cloud, SaaS, on-premises, and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with regulatory, privacy, data protection, and resiliency requirements
- Lead the deployment and operation of advanced security capabilities, including Purple Teaming, Breach & Attack Simulation, malware analysis, security testing, monitoring, incident response, and threat detection
- Drive security technologies from proof of concept through production, including evaluation, architecture, integration, licensing, vendor management, deployment, and operationalization
- Architect and secure cloud environments, including Google Cloud, by implementing identity and access management, networking security, workload protection, encryption, logging, monitoring, and data security controls
- Embed security throughout application development, cloud transformation, and migration initiatives by ensuring secure-by-design principles, RBAC, access controls, and lifecycle security requirements are met
- Establish reusable security standards, patterns, and governance frameworks aligned with NIST and industry best practices, while enabling the secure adoption of AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities through appropriate guardrails, automation, monitoring, and data protection controls
How You’ll Lead
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions, providing technical direction on security technologies and enterprise architecture decisions from concept through production deployment
- Partner closely with Security Engineering, Cloud, Infrastructure, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, Audit, and vendor teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions aligned with business objectives
- Evaluate and challenge technology vendors on capabilities, architecture, sizing, licensing, and implementation approaches while balancing security, resiliency, scalability, operational efficiency, and cost considerations
Skills You’ll Need
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering and security architecture, with a strong track record of delivering security technologies into large-scale enterprise production environments
- Deep expertise in securing cloud, SaaS, on-premises, and hybrid environments, including strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and working knowledge of Azure
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, encryption, application security, data protection, network security, and cloud security best practices
- Experience leading technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts, product selection, sizing, licensing, vendor management, and supporting cloud transformation and migration initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and executive teams while enabling secure adoption of AI-driven cybersecurity solutions through appropriate guardrails, security controls, and governance
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments, with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and enterprise security requirements
- Proven track record implementing and managing enterprise cybersecurity platforms, security integrations, and large-scale security programs
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native security, modern application architectures, containers, Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, and security automation
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and secure architecture principles, including MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and industry best practices
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF, with Google Cloud credentials preferred, including Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $100,000 to $157,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
