The posting

POSITION SUMMARY The Entrance Attendant is the first point of contact for every guest and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and organized arrival experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing the line and entry flow, enforcing house policies, completing mandatory ID verification, and communicating proactively with the Manager on Duty (MOD). A great Entrance Attendant sets the tone for service—warm, professional, and confident under pressure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embody and represent our core values through professionalism, warmth, and attentive guest care.
  • Welcome guests with a smile and provide basic orientation on how service works.
  • Enforce 100% ID check is required. Scan all IDs — mandatory.
  • Manage the reservation system (Resy) — take, confirm, and organize reservations accurately.
  • Control guest flow to maintain safe, compliant capacity.
  • Enforce key entrance policies.
  • Maintain and enforce line protocols.
  • Apply line-priority rules exactly as directed
  • Keep required door tools on hand and operational at all times.
  • Closing procedures: stop new arrivals when directed after bar service ends (re-entry exceptions as stated), prevent guest crowding outside the gate upon exit, and secure entrance-related equipment as assigned.
  • Follow closing takes at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and clean uniform throughout each shift.
  • Support restaurant operations by assisting servers, runners, and managers as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies.
  • Be available for evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by business volume.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand and remain alert at the entrance for the duration of the shift; ability to be outdoors as needed.
  • Maintain focus and poise in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Communicate clearly in person and over radio; ability to manage guest interactions professionally and calmly.
  • Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday availability as required by business volume.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in door staff, hosting, security, or high-volume hospitality strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to enforce policies respectfully and consistently.
  • Ability to follow written procedures precisely and escalate to MOD appropriately (no improvising).

DISCLAIMER

Failure to adhere to company standards or policies may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties or qualifications. Management reserves the right to modify responsibilities or reassign duties as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
