Business Systems Delivery Lead

We are currently recruiting for a Business Systems Delivery Lead to work based in Billericay, Essex on a full time, permanent basis.

About us

DCK is one of the world’s leading fashion jewellery companies, working with many well-known retailers and high street fashion brands including River Island, M&S, Matalan, Next and Tesco.

As our business continues to grow and evolve, technology plays an increasingly important role in how we operate. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Delivery Lead to join our Business Systems team and play a key role in delivering our technology and transformation roadmap.

This is a varied role combining Business Analysis with Project Management, providing the opportunity to work across DCK and with teams across the business and technology partners to deliver new systems, improve existing solutions and successfully onboard new business.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Business Systems & Transformation, the Business Systems Delivery Lead will share ownership of delivering a portfolio of business systems projects and change initiatives across DCK.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders from across the business to understand their requirements, identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, and translate those requirements into practical solutions.

Projects will range from enhancements to our existing business systems through to the implementation of new technology solutions and the systems workstreams associated with onboarding new customers and business opportunities.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys taking greater ownership of delivery, or someone already working in a hybrid Business Analysis and Project Management role.

Key responsibilities:

· Work with stakeholders across DCK to understand business challenges, opportunities and requirements.

· Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops and process-mapping activities.

· Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements.

· Translate business needs into clear system, process and delivery requirements for internal teams and third-party partners.

· Take ownership of Business Systems projects from initial concept through to successful implementation.

· Develop and manage project plans covering scope, milestones, resources, dependencies and key deliverables.

· Manage project risks, issues, actions and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.

· Coordinate activity across internal stakeholders, technology suppliers and other third parties and provide clear and concise project updates.

· Support project budget tracking and help ensure delivery remains aligned to agreed objectives and outcomes.

· Coordinate testing and UAT, ensuring solutions meet agreed business requirements before deployment.

· Support go-live activity and transition new solutions into business-as-usual support.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better use of technology, automation and process improvement.

· Manage the onboarding of new business system requirements, ensuring system, data, integration and process needs are understood and delivered effectively.

· Act as a bridge between business teams and technical specialists, translating between business requirements and technology solutions.

· Help establish consistent approaches to project delivery, documentation and governance across the Business Systems function.

Skills and qualifications:

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with the ability and desire to make things happen.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with a strong Business Analysis or Business Systems background who have experience taking ownership of initiatives and seeing them through to implementation.

You’ll be comfortable moving between detailed requirements and the bigger picture, working with people from different areas of the business and managing several priorities at the same time.

Essential skills and experience:

· Experience working within a retail head office

· Strong experience in a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Delivery Lead or similar role.

· Experience delivering technology or business systems change.

· Strong requirements gathering and workshop facilitation skills.

· Experience documenting business processes and translating business needs into system requirements.

· Experience working across the full project lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation.

· Ability to develop and manage project plans, actions, risks and dependencies.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Experience coordinating internal teams and third-party suppliers.

· Experience with testing, UAT and implementation activities.

· Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to challenge existing processes constructively.

· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

· Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable skills and experience:

· Experience implementing or improving ERP, retail, supply chain, merchandising, finance, warehouse or other enterprise business systems.

· Experience delivering system integrations.

· Formal Business Analysis or Project Management qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.

Why choose DCK?

· Opportunity to work for a leading independent global fashion business.

· Be part of a welcoming, friendly business that promotes learning and development from day one.

· Work-from-home opportunities and flexible working hours to help you develop a healthy work-life balance.

· Early finish every Friday.

· 25 days’ holiday.

· Free parking.

· Free refreshments and fruit, with lunch on us once a month.

· Community Group social events.

· Plus many more additional benefits!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
