S3 Developer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build, extend, improve, and maintain the Metadata Search, KV Store Indexing, and related set of features in the product

- Use AI smartly to significantly improve productivity of self and team

- Understand the broader product and architectural goals while designing specific features

- Architecture and troubleshooting of system level components, especially the file system and related storage system components

- Design and develop in C/C++ under tight deadlines with minimal supervision

- Define and articulate technical designs with the appropriate details

- Support product deployment and production defect resolution in a timely manner

- Full application development from design to development to testing to deployment

- Participate in technical reviews throughout the course of development

- Undertake research based technical tasks: Define research approach, document results and derive conclusions. Should be able to design a solution based on the research conducted.

- Mentor junior developers

REQUIREMENTS

- Accountable and highly motivated with solid people skills

- 5+ years' experience system software development and complex problem resolution.

- Competent at using AI tools to improve productivity in all phases of product development

- Expert knowledge of the following programming languages: C/C++

- Excellent understanding of Data Structures and related trade-offs

- Competent at Distributed Systems and dealing with related performance issues

- Understanding of Linux File Systems

- Good knowledge of databases and SQL (for senior candidates)

- Excellent Linux development and deployment skills including but not limited to file system development.

- Full understanding of OS principles and architecture of Kernel procedures.

- Experience with open-source development toolchain like gcc, gdb, g++, git

- Experience designing and developing parallel programs

- Good communication skills (verbal and written English).

- Experience in mentoring juniors and leading a team (for senior candidates

NICE TO HAVE:

- Good knowledge of databases

- Experience working with Scrum Agile

- Hands on with AI coding tools
