The posting

DeARX Services is looking for skilled Data Engineers based in the Western Cape for exciting opportunities within the financial services sector.

If you're passionate about building scalable data solutions, developing robust data pipelines and working with modern cloud technologies, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Requirements

  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Advanced SQL
  • Data Engineering and Data Pipeline development
  • ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Apache Spark / PySpark
  • Data Warehousing

Advantageous Experience

Kafka and real-time data streaming

Apache Airflow

Databricks

Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or BigQuery

AWS Glue and Data Lakes

Docker and Kubernetes

Industry Experience

Experience working with financial services, banking, fintech or high-volume transaction data will be highly advantageous.

Experience in retail or e-commerce data environments is also a plus.

Data Engineers who can build and optimise data pipelines, work with large datasets, implement scalable cloud-based solutions and contribute to reliable, high-performing data platforms.
