The posting

About Our Young Fashion Division

Our Young Fashion division brings together some of the UK's best-known fashion brands, including boohoo, PrettyLittleThing, Misspap, Warehouse and DSGN Studio.

It's a fast-moving, creative and ambitious part of Debenhams Group, where great ideas, commercial thinking and a passion for fashion come together. We're building brands for the next generation of customers, and we're looking for talented people who want to be part of what's next.

The Role

As a Senior SEO Executive within our Young Fashion division, you won't just be managing keywords—you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our organic growth strategy across a stellar line-up of global fashion platforms.

We operate like an elite, specialist in-house fashion SEO agency. Rather than being confined to a single site, you'll enjoy dynamic, multi-brand exposure across a power-house portfolio, giving you an unmatched range of growth and development opportunities. You will collaborate alongside seasoned industry leaders with up to a decade of tenure, driving high-impact search strategies in a collaborative, supportive, and high-energy culture.

This role is ideal for an ambitious professional with 2–3+ years of SEO experience (agency or in-house) who is ready to accelerate their career in a fast-paced, high-growth business.

Your Team

The Young Fashion SEO team is the largest, strongest, and most influential organic growth powerhouse in the group. Functioning as trusted SEO consultants, we work with high autonomy to steer group-wide platform innovation towards best-in-class standards. You will be surrounded by established SEO professionals with deep tenure and expertise, offering you an unparalleled environment to learn, mentor junior team members, and rapidly accelerate your career.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive organic traffic and revenue growth across standard Search and AI-driven platforms/LLMs in line with business targets.
  • Own key areas of the Organic Search strategy, reporting progress to SEO Managers.
  • Perform in-depth technical on-site and off-site audits to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues.
  • Conduct strategic keyword and topic research aligned with customer trends and seasonality.
  • Execute daily optimisation across category, sub-category, and campaign pages.
  • Communicate weekly and monthly performance results to key stakeholders, highlighting commercial impact.
  • Mentor junior team members, guiding their day-to-day workload and ongoing development.
  • Analyse competitor activity systematically to uncover search and content opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful content campaigns that boost organic visibility.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments to ensure early adoption of new SEO methods and tools.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and refine team workflows for maximum efficiency.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven expertise in driving discoverability across both traditional search engines and AI-driven platforms (LLMs).
  • Hands-on experience using Google Merchant Center to maximize visibility for Free Product Listings.
  • Broad understanding of the wider Digital Marketing landscape.
  • Strong copywriting and content optimisation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to translate raw data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Proficiency with industry SEO software to benchmark performance and inform strategy.
  • Experience with key SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Botify, SEO Monitor, SEMrush, and Sistrix.
  • Working knowledge of HTML.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Solid experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for retail and fashion.

Any of the following would also be beneficial but is not essential:

  • A second language.
  • Experience with App Store Optimisation (ASO).

Behaviours:

  • High efficiency and drive to match the pace of a leading fast-fashion business.
  • Excellent time management with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistently delivering high-quality work and spotting commercial wins early.
  • Strong market awareness and dedication to keeping up with search developments.
  • An approachable, supportive colleague who helps elevate the whole team.
  • A professional attitude with high standards of personal execution.
  • Proactive in supporting the SEO Manager across reporting, special projects, and tool onboarding.
  • Strong communication skills, serving as a key point of guidance for junior team members and new starters.
  • Proven cross-functional relationship building across Digital Marketing, Buying, eCommerce, BI, and IT.
  • Autonomous project management skills with minimal supervision required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
