This is a unique opportunity for an experienced actuarial professional to operate at the intersection of pricing, customer insights, data science, underwriting, and business strategy.

As a senior individual contributor, you will lead complex, high-impact initiatives that explore emerging trends, evaluate new opportunities, and solve ambiguous business challenges using both traditional actuarial techniques and innovative analytical approaches. You will translate data into actionable insights, influence strategic decisions, and partner with leaders across the organization to drive meaningful business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling difficult problems, navigating uncertainty, and transforming data into innovative solutions that help shape the future of Personal Insurance.

What to Expect

  • Lead and execute strategic analytics initiatives focused on emerging business opportunities, customer insights, risk segmentation, and pricing innovation.
  • Identify, investigate, and solve complex business problems by leveraging internal and external data sources, actuarial techniques, predictive analytics, and advanced statistical methods.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and recommendations that inform key business decisions and support long-term growth objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Pricing, Product, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Data Science, and other business functions to drive alignment and influence outcomes.
  • Translate technical findings into clear and compelling recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders, translating complex analytics into clear business actions and strategic decisions.
  • Design and evaluate innovative concepts, programs, and analytical solutions that improve customer value, risk assessment, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Produce insightful analysis and performance monitoring that helps identify emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and competitive developments.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation, ensuring high-quality deliverables and measurable business impact.
  • Support the development of analytical best practices, mentor junior team members, and provide technical guidance on project work.
  • Continuously explore new data sources, analytical methodologies, and industry trends to enhance the team's capabilities and drive innovation.

What you Bring

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • ACAS designation preferred. FCAS is an asset.
  • 6+ years of P&C actuarial experience, with experience in Personal Insurance pricing, predictive modeling, analytics, or related functions considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex analytical projects and deliver actionable business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making and build consensus across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Experience working with large datasets and applying statistical, actuarial, predictive modeling, or machine learning techniques to generate business insights.
  • Experience in data science, predictive analytics, or machine learning, including developing advanced analytical solutions that drive business insights and decision-making, is considered an asset.
  • Strong programming capabilities in Python, R, SAS, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and effective use of PowerPoint and other communication tools.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
