Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth payroll operations and accurate personnel administration, contributing to the satisfaction and engagement of our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and HR processes, combined with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process employee salaries, benefits, and deductions on a regular schedule. Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Tax and Compliance Management: Prepare and submit tax filings and payments, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and payroll requirements.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain employee payroll records, including personal data, job titles, and pay rates. Generate and manage detailed reports on payroll data for internal and external audits.
  • Resolve Payroll Issues: Address and resolve employee queries related to payroll discrepancies and concerns. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Systems and Process Optimization: Utilize payroll software to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Assist in implementing system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Accountant Arranging, classifying, archiving accounting documents. Monthly preparation and submission of accounting documents within the relevant established deadlines. Preparing reports and statements regarding the company's activities and the payments made by customers. Monitoring bank payments. Online banking. Preparing invoices, reports, statements and payments to suppliers.
  • Compliance Audits: Prepare and provide documentation for periodic payroll audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling multi-state payroll.
