Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a customer-service focused full-time or part-time Night Auditor to join our team at The Westin Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Unit Description

Delaware North operates the Westin Buffalo, situated within the company’s global headquarters building in Buffalo, New York. The luxury lifestyle hotel offers well-appointed guest rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and two signature onsite restaurants, Patina 250 and Jake’s Café. Delaware North operates this top-rated, AAA Four Diamond hotel, dating back to 2019. Team members employed at the Westin Buffalo receive Marriott travel discounts world-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Run the night audit function, reconcile credit card payments, input sales and manual sales sheets, understand the guest folio, explain billing, and how to make any needed corrections.
  • Review pending advance deposits and charges, check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently.
  • Quote room rates and room package information, post charges for in-house accounts.
  • Complete shift closing, drop cash and check payments, securing the bank at all times, and follow proper cash handling policies.
  • Cash handling and accountability; maintain accurate paperwork as it relates to front office operations.
  • Check and balance the daily figures, post room and tax charges on guest accounts.
  • Drive a company vehicle to help with valet/shuttle parking as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • No high school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in cash handling.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment is beneficial.
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to perform long-term standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive moving items up to 30 pounds.
