Job Summary
This position is on the Conduit team, a key part of bringing StrongDM’s secure connection capabilities into the Delinea platform. The team builds a cross-platform desktop application that gives users secure access to their organization’s databases, servers, Kubernetes clusters, and other assets, as well as the platform CLI, providing a unified command-line entry point into the broader Delinea platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect, develop, and deliver secure, reliable client experiences using React Native and TypeScript, while contributing across the application stack, CLI, core connectivity capabilities, and Proxy SDK.
This position plays a key role in building unified desktop and command-line experiences for interacting with the Delinea platform through high-quality engineering practices and innovation. You will report to the team’s engineering manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect the design and help develop, test, and maintain a secure, reliable cross-platform desktop application, ensuring alignment with Delinea’s security and architecture standards.
- Develop and evolve the Delinea CLI, creating a unified entry point for interacting with capabilities across the Delinea platform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices for reliable releases across macOS and Windows.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, designers, and other teams to define technical roadmaps and deliver capabilities spanning multiple systems.
- Conduct code and design reviews, emphasizing performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering and building complex client applications.
- Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern application development frameworks such as React or React Native.
- Experience designing and integrating applications with APIs and distributed backend services.
- Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining complex applications across multiple system boundaries.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, secure development practices, and client/server communication.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and design to deliver complex software projects.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous technical problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and learn new technologies as needed.
We’d Love to See:
- Experience with React Native or cross-platform desktop application development.
- Experience building command-line tools, SDKs, or developer-facing products.
- Experience with Rust or other systems programming languages, or an interest in learning Rust.
- Experience building security, identity, privileged access management, or zero-trust products.
- Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) for monitoring and diagnostics.
