Finance Transformation is part of Deloitte’s consulting practice and consists of 350 dedicated consultants who work within all aspects of the CFO area and engage with clients to advise, transform, optimize, and operate the finance function. We have private and public as well as national and international clients across different industries and of different sizes, and we work with the lion’s share of C25 companies and public institutions.

Global Business Services (GBS) is an integral part of Deloitte’s Finance Transformation practice. The GBS team is dedicated to helping organizations transform their business operations, driving higher efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. By leveraging a comprehensive suite of services, the GBS practice supports clients in optimizing shared services, outsourcing, and global business service models to create value and enhance performance. We work in the full lifecycle of projects from strategy to design and implementation.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team. The ideal candidate has experience in setting up shared services organizations and a deep understanding of multi-functional GBS operations. Experience with the interplay of technology and process design in this context is preferred. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic business transformation initiatives, building effective governance structures, implementing new capabilities globally and optimizing functional processes leveraging the latest technologies.

Job Description

As a GBS Strategy Manager, you will lead large complex engagements for some of the world's biggest organizations. In this role, you will architect future-ready GBS strategies, drive end-to-end finance process transformations, and leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to enable growth and value creation. You will be responsible for leading business model transformations, setting up shared services or outsourcing solutions, and leveraging a commercial mindset to position and scale innovation. You will identify, design, and implement shared services solutions aimed at driving operational effectiveness, cost efficiencies, and organizational agility.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

  • Identifying key client business issues and architecting end-to-end finance process transformations (e.g., R2R, O2C, P2P)
  • Driving business development by responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and pitching strategic solutions with a strong commercial mindset
  • Evaluating and deploying innovative technologies, including GenAI and intelligent automation, to elevate client digital maturity and process performance
  • Determining which techniques, delivery models, and emerging tech are best suited to serving each client's unique addressable needs
  • Developing recommendations for the client in the context of overall engagement
  • Leading day-to-day team activities and effectively overseeing the quality of deliverables
  • Managing diverse small and big teams

Qualifications

Ideally, you have:

  • Around 6-9 years of relevant experience in the GBS, Shared Services and/or Business Process Outsourcing, as well as good understanding of finance processes
  • 3+ years of Direct people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Fluency in Danish is a big plus

What you bring to the team:

  • Experience with multiple GBS pillars including, but not limited to HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Operations, Legal
  • Extensive project experience within the Shared Services, Outsourcing and/or Offshoring industry, or back-office functional optimization
  • Experience with service delivery model strategy, design, implementation & optimization for multi-functional or single-function entities
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and oral and written communication skills; outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
