Position Summary

The Translator Training Specialist designs and delivers e-learning and live training for Deluxe’s global network of freelance translators and editors, with a special focus on Korean and the APAC region. Training covers software and tooling, subtitling and localization best practices, AI-enhanced workflows, and content security.

This role is built for a linguist who wants to move into training — someone who has done the work and can teach it. Your firsthand experience as a translator or editor is what will make the training credible and practical, because you’ll be teaching skills you’ve applied yourself.

Working with a global team, you’ll facilitate learning for localization vendors and freelancers from diverse cultural, educational, and technical backgrounds, with particular attention to the needs and expectations of linguists across APAC. You’ll research, write, and build course content alongside the E-Learning Manager, and contribute to team work including learning outreach, course-completion tracking, course testing, documentation updates, software testing, and gathering data on how training affects freelancer participation, quality, and satisfaction.

The training team works cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Community Support, Linguistic Quality, and Translator Resources to strengthen the skills and quality of the translator community. You’ll also collaborate and share knowledge with the internal training team, who support employee workflows in parallel. This position is based in Seoul and reports to the E-Learning Manager, Localization.

Experience, Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Hands-on experience as a translator, subtitler, or editor in the localization industry
  • Highly proficient written and spoken English with fluency in Korean
  • Strong writing skills, with instructional or training-content writing a plus
  • Experience and ease with public speaking, live training, and webinars
  • Comfortable consulting with subject-matter experts to research and vet content
  • Familiarity with adult learning styles and how to teach to a range of skill levels
  • Working knowledge of subtitling and localization tools; familiarity with CAT tools, Originator or similar platforms, and AI-assisted/MTPE workflows is a plus
  • Experience working with multinational, multicultural teams is a plus
  • A skilled problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines
  • A collaborative team player, self-driven and disciplined in a remote setting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
