What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $22.53 and $28.17/hour based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to start mainly in-person with an option to move to hybrid after passing the 6 month probation period. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
In this position you can expect to work on-site at the Election building - 200 West 14th Street in Denver, CO. The hours will be Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

The Office of the Clerk and Recorder is currently seeking an enthusiastic, trustworthy, positive-minded individual to serve as a Deputy Public Trustee for the agency and provide customer-focused administrative and clerical support for all our clients and their needs. In this role, you will be responsible for administering the foreclosure process of various properties across the City and County of Denver, along with releasing deeds of trust, preparing foreclosure auctions, and reviewing redemptions as necessary. If selected for this position, you will also be deputized to conduct functions as assigned by the elected Clerk and Recorder.
Specifically, the Deputy Public Trustee:
- Interprets. applies, and explains regulations, policies, standards, and/or procedures to internal/external customers based on extensive knowledge of foreclosures and releases of deeds of trust
- Reviews and evaluates forms, applications, computations, documents, and/or other information to determine accuracy, completeness, acceptability, or compliance based on extensive knowledge of foreclosures and releases of deeds of trust
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III)
- Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
- Licensure: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
