What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $31.33-$48.56/hourly. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $31.33-$36.00/hourly based on experience. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Who We Are & What You’ll Do
Denver Arts & Venues (DAV) is the City and County of Denver agency responsible for operating some of the region’s most renowned facilities, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Colorado Convention Center, Denver Coliseum, Loretto Heights, and McNichols Civic Center Building. DAV also oversees the Denver Public Art Program, administers cultural funding opportunities such as the DENVER CREATES Fund, Five Points Jazz Grant, and P.S. You Are Here, and leads implementation of DENVER CREATES: A Collective Commitment to the Arts, Denver’s cultural plan.
Revenue generated by the agency is reinvested into the community through grants for artists and arts organizations, free and low-cost cultural events, public art, venue operations and maintenance, and arts education programs.

The Denver Performing Arts Complex (Arts Complex) is seeking a highly motivated and creative Booking Coordinator to support the sales and operational team members at the Denver Performing Arts Complex and McNichol’s Civic Center Building. In this role, you will perform administrative level work to book and execute events, maintain calendars, prepares contracts, and other administrative job duties as assigned for these City and County Denver facilities. This position reports to Senior Manager of Sales and Programming for the Denver Performing Arts Complex and is expected to support the booking and administrative process for both the Denver Performing Arts Complex and the McNichol’s Civic Center Building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize event contract documents, client files, and payment records within internal databases.
- Assist the Senior Sales and Programming Manager and Programming Manager in responding to rental inquiries, preparing rental proposals and estimates, and placing availability holds.
- Maintain CRM or booking software with accurate event details.
- Support the full booking lifecycle by ensuring all contract steps are completed accurately and on time and notifying clients of issues or missing information.
- Work with your supervisor to prepare and issue contracts, verify insurance requirements, and confirm client business standing with the Colorado Secretary of State.
- Book and coordinate smaller-sized events in non-theatre event spaces.
- Coordinate with the City Attorney’s Office when needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Production, Operations, Box Office, and Finance, to ensure contract terms are executed.
- Support invoicing and reconciliation for completed events. May be asked to support the night of show settlement process.
- Assist with client site tours, walkthroughs, and planning meetings.
- Distribute weekly and monthly venue calendars and manage space reservations within the scheduling software.
- Exercise delegated decision-making authority to implement and coordinate essential administrative functions.
- Provide administrative support, as needed, to the Venue Director, Senior Operations and Guest Services Manager, Technical Production Manager, Programming Manager, and Coordinator of Special Event Operations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support both Sales and Venue Operations.
- Represent the venue at community or industry events as needed.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- At least 3 years of experience in administrative office support, event planning or hospitality management
- Excellent verbal, written communication and time management skills
- Skilled in maintaining and organizing department records, reports, and files, including developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Proficient at Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Teams
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with interruptions
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience assisting with event planning, event production, or facility management.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
