DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

JOB PURPOSE

This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service, working with our UK teams from Hungary. We combine data, technology, creative and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like social, influencer, TTL ad campaigns, augmented reality, AI and innovation. Our clients include eBay, easyJet, Open Ai and Google.

We are looking for an AI Designer & Creative Technologist to join our creative team. The role has two halves: delivering AI-led creative work on live client projects, and building the tools and workflows that make the wider agency faster at it. The client work is varied, from fast-turnaround BAU creative responses to in-person creative sprints and full campaign productions across global markets, and generative AI now runs through most of it.

On the delivery side, you will take briefs from early thinking through to finished, client-ready work using generative image, video and audio tools alongside the Adobe suite, working with designers, motion designers, art directors and producers to make AI output on brand, consistent, and following legal specifications. On the technology side, you will spot the repetitive, manual parts of how our designers work and build things that remove them: automation pipelines, scripts, plugins and small internal tools.

This is a hands-on role and we are open to all levels of experience: what matters is the quality of your work and your judgement about when and how to use these tools. The scope of the role, from how much you lead to how much you guide others, will be shaped around the experience you bring. You will work day to day with creative directors, account teams and clients in the UK, mostly remotely, and contribute to creative sprints and workshops, in person where possible.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Turn creative briefs into AI-generated and AI-enhanced imagery, video and motion across social, paid, digital and campaign work
  • Build and refine prompts and workflows across image and video generation tools, keeping a library of what works per client
  • Finish AI output in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro so it sits seamlessly alongside photography, design and live action
  • Keep brand and character consistency across generated assets using references, style guides and custom models
  • Produce rapid concepts, styleframes and visual explorations to help teams pitch and iterate faster
  • Build repeatable AI workflows, prompt frameworks and best-practice documentation for the team
  • Spot repetitive, manual steps in how designers work and build tools that remove them: Adobe and Figma scripts and plugins, node-based pipelines, small browser utilities
  • Prototype and maintain internal tools with the people who use them, iterating on real feedback
  • Be a point of knowledge on AI for creative directors and account teams: what’s possible, what it costs in time and risk, how to pitch it
  • Own responsible use of AI on your work: client tool guidelines, data handling, IP and likeness, disclosure labelling and provenance metadata
  • Work with producers to scope AI-led deliverables accurately, flagging where AI isn’t the right route
  • Share what you build and learn through show-and-tells and training sessions
  • Present work internally and externally to an excellent standard
  • Stay close to new tools and models, testing them against real briefs and recommending what we adopt

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • A portfolio of AI-generated or AI-enhanced work finished to a professional standard, for brands, agencies or personal projects
  • Solid design fundamentals: composition, typography, colour and an eye for what looks right on screen
  • Hands-on experience building work in node-based AI workflows (e.g. Figma Weave, ComfyUI, Flora) that chain models like Flux, Veo, Kling and Sora with editing steps, and the judgement to pick the right model and route for the job
  • Strong Photoshop skills, with working After Effects and/or Premiere Pro to take output through to finish
  • Some ability to build as well as make: scripting or automation (e.g. Python, JavaScript, ExtendScript, Figma plugins, ComfyUI) used to speed up creative work
  • A problem-solver’s instinct for spotting inefficiency in a workflow and fixing it properly
  • Understanding of how social, paid and digital assets are specced and delivered (formats, safe zones, aspect ratios, versioning)
  • Awareness of the ethical, legal and brand-safety considerations around generative AI in commercial work
  • Fluent English, with confidence explaining your process and presenting to creative directors, account teams and clients
  • A willingness to share what you know and help others get better with these tools
  • Curious, experimental and self-directed when a tool or workflow doesn’t exist yet
  • Nice to have: motion, 3D or VFX background, custom model training, LLM APIs and agentic tooling, content provenance standards.

WE OFFER

  • Private health insurance and access to a range of healthcare and preventive services.
  • Sports & cultural benefits to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • Dog-friendly office
  • Hybrid working policy
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big, small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with all of them. And we celebrate all of our successes together!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
